Hmm..don't agree with that! Lol to each their own. I have a sex change date this summer. ;p
Good luck with the ffs, Eva!
Sarah you look so gorg and feminine , so you won't understand the desire of those who wish to look feminine . I can see your point though as not everyone chose this option .
Your voice sounds great, now!! QUITE fem!! I think it'd be much moreso had you not been a smoker!
TONS of good luck with your surgery, too!!

I would think facial hair removal is more important, let's say even if you could afford FFS (which many can not) what then?, you're still left with that battle. My concern is we're putting too much emphasis on looks, it's the inner beauty that makes a person.
What do we say to those who will never be able afford such surgeries?, better luck next time?, your outcome is bleak, or you'll never understand what it truly means to be female?.
Who gets to decide where the bar is set?, even worse........who keeps moving it lol.
I'm not knocking the decision to change ones shell. No, I don't feel left out either.
I will however agree, to each their own and pray for successful outcomes.
Good luck

THANKS and CONGRATS Sarah
May I ask who your surgeon is gonna be??? Im happy for you
Im planning on going with Brassard
I'll be a year in on the HRT in about 2 1/2 months and a year "full time" in about 5 months but its unofficially been longer than that for both... My psych is a real tool Im thinking, unfortunately there just aren't many to chose from around here that have any experience at this
This guy did write a letter for a girl I know but our circumstances couldn't be farther apart... Ive been letting him know he's gonna have to write my letter soon... He got all pissy and actually tried to tell me "I have to see him for at least a year for that"
I almost got up and walked out right then and there
I cant see how he can hold out much longer but I feel like he just thinks Im just easy $$$
He WILL do it soon though or Im done with him and he's gonna hear that next time I see him... Im trying to get in with my second psych right now but she has a waiting list...
Id like to get a date set up soon because Im sure Brassard is pretty busy...

Well, I can understand your feelings on that point, Sarah. You are young, attractive, and look so feminine, FFS would be a poor use of your money.
For us girls that have to go to great lengths to hide our masculine attributes, FFS is a godsend. It's easier to tuck a penis than disguise a masculine forehead, nose, or jaw. FFS is essential for us.
Clara
Clara I can agree with this to a point but really Id jump on Brassards table right now if I could
There's just a lot of hoops I still gotta jump through... Im thinking that by the time I recover from this surgery It will all fall into place.... I am impatient
Its also really starting to get to me to have to live with "it", Id feel better if it was fixed.... Scary shit though!!!!

There is a method to this madness... Thats why I started laser and electro before I even went on HRT.... YES thats huge right there... You cant expect to really go "full time" with a beard you gotta shave and try to cover up all the time
It helps to have some thick skin thats for sure
BUT I also think a realistic look at whats possible and what you can and cant live with is essential when making a decision like this from the start.... Its HARD to not have envy and jealousy towards those that are more fortunate with genetics or resources... It sure aint cheap either!!!
I guess with me I set the bar pretty high for myself and Im fortunate to have all the $$$ I need to see it through
Ideally though our fucked up "healthcare" system would cover it all though... Please dont let any hardcore "libertarians" like I used to be hear that though, Im not in the mood for the argument
I used to think a lot like that but my thoughts on some things are changing.... Maybe its from living and seeing things from a female perspective

Hey thanks
You know Im just very hard on myself I guess... I think it can be better with a little more work but Im also scared of going too far and ending up with something that just sounds weird
You know I do very well already and the strange thought occurred to me today... "What if I have all this done.... THEN people all of a sudden start looking at me funny and start treating me like a weirdo!!!"
I like to think I "pass" quite well now but I can never be totally sure and Im hoping as I get farther along I'll just think and worry about that less and less... Thats been the case so far anyway
I guess I just dont want to look, sound or feel like the old male me at all in any way... At some point though Im just gonna have to accept things as they are and make the best of it.... Again I could really use some patience too... TIME is my friend here... 2 more years on HRT and recovery from all this Im sure is gonna be A LOT better.... It just sucks getting there I guess
