Hey thanks honest critique MissedWink

You know I lived as a male for 44 years... My presentation was that of an everyday average blue collar dude who on the surface you would probably NEVER think was transexual... Its NOT easy to just all of a sudden start talking like a female!!! It WAS really hard with my old voice and I just CRINGE listening to it actually LOL.... In time I will forget the old voice but its still in my head right now so I still hear remnants of the old with the new voice even if it is subtly better...

This really helps though because NOW I can actually easily match another womans pitch and its easy to just talk the same as she does... Thats what I mean when I know Im doing it right... Its a different FEELING when I really get the feminine thing goingBig Grin

It will get better as it heals and I learn to use it and forget the old meWink
I guess I should add that I have set up an in person consultation with Dr Speigel in December near Christmas for facial feminization and rejuvenation surgery... The flight is booked Smile

He wants $150.00 for the consultation but he will apply that to the likely 50 K price tag for the surgeryRolleyes it will be about $300.00 to fly out there and consult....

If I like him Im gonna try for a surgery date in late February/early March...
Eva, I'm sure you'll like him. He's got a nice easy going demeanor. He listens to you and doesn't push you one way or the other, but will make a recommendation if asked. He is conservative about FFS. That is, he only tries to remove the masculinity in your face, not try to change your basic identity. Some have criticized him for that philosophy, while other's, including me, find it matches our own attitude about FFS. Yup, my quote came to $52K for both FFS and rejuvenation procedures done at one time. It was my highest quote of those received so far.

Quote included:
1. Forehead reconstruction/brow lift/scalp advancement
2. Nose job
3. Bullhorn lip lift
4. Trachea Shave
5. Full SMAS face and neck skin tightening
6. Lower eye lid lift (blepharoplasty)
7. Fat graft to cheeks

Some other info:

1. He does all the work. Students can only observe.
2. He's fast. The full operation takes about 6-7 hours.
3. He doesn't do a CT scan pre-op or post-op.
4. Post care is what the University of Boston Medical Center provides.
5. It is a teaching hospital whatever that implies.

Yea its getting closer and Im really looking forward to seeing him in personBig Grin

In the meantime I just did some Coolsculpting on my pudge....

http://www.coolsculpting.com/

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryolipolysis

It HURTS, they lie and say it doesnt but it does!!! It's apparently legit, as sore as I am Id say it probably is anyway....

I double stacked and did 8 treatments yesterday, basically the entire muffin top, front and sides... 8 hours with the machine hooked to my fat, it was a LONG day!!! Its still SORE and swollenSad In the next three months I should see a 40-50% reduction in fat (double treatment is allegedly more effective), the fat cells are dead... They will be slowly absorbed by the body in the next 4 monthsCool

from what I gather we all have a limited number of fat cells, they just get bigger or smaller as we gain or lose weight... Since all these cells are dead now fat should go to my tits and ass just to keep the same fat % Id think Smile

I hope it works, I wanted to do lipo and fat transfer to my hips and ass.... I can only do so many surgeries though, one every three months max...

This seemed an ideal procedure for over the winter.... I should see the max results in the springtime... Im hoping to do my FFS in late Feb/early March and Id hope to be in pretty good shape after thatSmile

The E injections every 5 days have been doing a pretty good job with fat transfer and of course a reduction fat in the middle would be even better Big Grin Worst case is its not enough, I can still do lipo in the future but Im hoping to avoid that....

Anyway In NOT real happy with my chin in this pic, I hoping the high $$$ plastic surgeon fixes itTongue

One month today post op VFS.... Much better but still hopefully more to come... Im kinda disappointed I can still go as low as I can but its not healed all the way yet... Id hope as it heals and I get used to talking in the higher range the low end will just disappear... It still comes and goes, but there have been a few times the top end has cleared up that really give me hope this is gonna be good Smile Its neat because if I use the same muscles in my throat that gave me my old voice the new one is WAY higher... Its still not healed yet, when it does Im really looking forward to working on it Cool

You sound good, Eva.

Clara
You're sounding better! I think you should just relax it and just let it go where it wants to go and, as you've said, speak softly, at least for now.
Maybe diction lessons will help you get rid of that "guy accent".
ThanksBig Grin Id love to find a qualified speech therapist but thats just not an option here...

I will just roll with it and try to be patient, Im sure it can only get better in time Smile

Yeah!! I'm SURE it would!!!! I was just going to suggest that!! I started listening to British accents when I was in my early teens and tried copying them when I got the chance and, for who knows HOW many decades, now, I've been at LEAST thinking if not speaking in British dialects ever since!! Quite often it slips out in my general daily conversation, even though I don't intend it to and, in some cases, try NOT to do it!! Some of it generally slips into my natural dialect, but few ever notice it. Not so much a Brit dialect, as much as their type of phrasing and slang.
Im still not really happy with my voice, I NEVER was though Blush It seems pretty good this morning, I was gendered correctly on the phone TWICE without trying Big Grin

I talked to my brother yesterday for the first time since I saw him about a year ago, we used to have very similar DEEP voices... It was a relief knowing he's OK with me now but what was really a relief was knowing I can NEVER sound like him again everSmile He was blown away by my voice LOL Big Grin I hope its not too annoying Im not sure Ill ever like it even though people tell me its good....

Heres where its at right now, it feels pretty good today and the falsetto is there but still a bit weak... When I have the full upper range it sounds a lot better and I cant wait for it to heal more and get stronger up there... My old absolute highest pitch speaking was about 350hz with a ton of effort... I just did like 480hz in falsetto here without much effortCool Its not great but there is no more break between my head voice and falsetto... I think it will only get better from hereWink
