In regards to getting rid of one's facial hair, I recommend those interested getting started sooner than later. I got a number of lasering sessions during in my 20s. When I started on HRT 2 years ago, I resumed the laser sessions. I'm not sure when I added electrolysis into the mix, but I've been doing it on a weekly basis. Using emla cream (available via prescription) is a must to help numb the face prior to the electrolysis session. It can be very dysphoric triggering to have to grow out my facial hair beforehand, but the upside is having less facial hair overall to contend with as time passes.
Good news is my electrolysis technician has worked with trans patients previously, so she's familiar with what my goals are and is very accepting of trans people in general.
