Kind of, but I dropped SP lately, so I'd think the skin would get oilier. Then again it has cleared up a bit so maybe it takes awhile to see the effect of dropping it idk.
No, the PM has a much greater anti-androgenic effect than SP. I used to produce so much oil on my face and scalp that I used to have to wash my face about four times a day, and my hair (what there is of it)got slick to my scalp by the end of it. 7 months in and I now only wash my face and forehead on rising and going to bed and only out of habit - and I need conditioner for my hair, it gets so dry.
The oilyness is caused by the DHT, I think, and the PM defeats it. That's why, with some minoxidil, I'm having some success in growing head hair back.
Regarding your rash, I know you don't have medical insurance, but I still think it would be worth the cost of a consultation to put your mind at ease. I used to live in CT and I seem to remember that a consultation wasn't too expensive.
Failing that, what about OTC steroid cream?
