http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20108949

most other sites regarding this site the same info (copy and pasted).

so its not just wild yam for micronized progesterone any more...

not relatred to walnut leaves, but still in category of plant steroids:

edit: Adonis aleppica is the member of the buttercup family https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adonis_(plant) (poisonous), however it was mentioned in the articles listed ( http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20108949). I will not post a separate post for this one as it is dead-end. however the discovery of progesterone in plants is very interesting Big Grin

Sasparilla

estrogenic? Progesterone? (read whole article). most likely hormone regulator. may increase testosterone production according to some websites...

contains : Diosgenin (like wild yam) .
http://www.livestrong.com/article/151031-sarsaparilla-root-side-effects/
"The University of Maryland Medical Center points out that, since diosgenin is the same substance used to produce the first birth control pills of the 1960s, it may produce estrogen-like effects in the body. This is because diosgenin interacts with estradiol, a natural hormone produced by the body that is also found in certain medications. Avoid sarsaparilla root if you take oral birth control medications or are undergoing hormone replacement therapy or treatment for a hormone-driven cancer."

not a problem! Smile I am happy that my findings helps someone in some way Smile its always nice to have alternatives to the standard-well known herbs and information. I like digging for new or arcane knowledge, unfortunately, sometimes I run into very little information on some things, which is why I put "more research needed".
