I was reading last night about one of the effects of taking esotregen in a mtf was possible insulin resistance,

Now over the last 2 weeks I have noticed that when I ate or drank there was the same sweetness, over sweet taste that I have when you eat something too sweet,

but this taste was there on most things I ate rather than just sugary things,

Fairly sure its not my imagination as I asked my wife too change the rolls she was giving me ?

Any thoughts by anyone ?

Julie

Are you talking about animal estrogens or phytoestrogens? Or did it mention both?
any feminisation regime
J

Could you give us the source of the article? I would like to read about that.
well I have seen several references too it, on various forums,

it was more of a side effects list of eosotregens

will see if I can dig out , not sure if I can find it again

I did

Change in body odor and sweat production

(Where you sweat changes, how much you sweat changes, and you start to smell different, especially in warm, well covered spaces)

Less prominence of veins

(That thin fatty layer under skin develops)

Ocular changes

(Get your eyes checked every six months. The nature of the changes can vary, both in particular effect and in degree of effect.)

gonadal size

(They get smaller)

The prostate shrinks

(It gets smaller. Side benefit, reduced risk of prostate cancer. Problem: reduced rate does not mean immune to it,. You can still get it, and yes, you still need to be checked out.)

The bladder shrinks

(really annoying)

The line that runs down the underside of the penis and down the middle of the scrotum, the peno-scrotal raphe (where the urogenital folds fused early in the womb), will darken.

(This one is kinda odd, and the line can actually extend upwards toward your belly button.)

Minor water retention is likely

(although what they call minor, well, feh)

The hips will rotate slightly forward due to changes in the tendons so hip discomfort is not uncommon.

(this one is really cool, and has an impact on the way you walk.)

Decreased insulin sensitivity, meaning higher risk of diabetes

(Pay attention here. And if you do develop diabetes, please follow the damn diet. I’ve been cooking for it for years, and you really can eat better tasting and better food than people say.)

Higher risk gall bladder disease.

(This also means avoid a lot of high fatty plus high protein content foods. It will make you ill, because your body doesn’t process it the same way it would otherwise.)

Face will get more rounded over time, as fat accumulates in a female pattern there.

(see earlier commentary on fat distribution)
Wow, cool to see all those changes. Didn't know some of them. I think it puts more emphasis on a healthy diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables while taking estrogenic supplement s. I am pretty new to this, but I do work in healthcare, so familiar with diabetes.
Might be of interest that FG causes the lowering of blood sugar...not sure if that is of any use to you...does that mean that it decreases the risk of diabetes, and henceforth, would that make sense that balancing estrogens (whichever form) with FG even things out? Just a stupid theory...
I can relate to quite a lot of that list. I had impaired glucose tolerance well before I was taking PM, and have significant peripheral neuropathy as a result. I am now fairly careful with my diet (trying to avoid generating insulin spikes) - much to the displeasure of my wife. Fairly soon after starting to take PM I had a fairly severe gallbladder attack, and my gallbladder was removed just a year ago: according to some authorities the gallbladder has a function in controlling estrogen levels and can react to significant changes in estrogen levels. I am still working on getting my digestive system properly stabilized following that surgery.

Well that explains a few things then.

I knew about the gonad and prostate changes. But had wondered at the appearance of the purple line and hip pain I've been experiencing, also the increase in sweat down stairs.

Pretty powerful stuff this oestrogen.
