I think it has been determined that remaining on PM can reduce your recovery to the point where there is none. I don't think Viagra will help when that happens.

I'm intrigued by what you wrote. I've been under the impression that just about all males who have taken pm for a significant amount of time welcome the lost of interest in porn and having frequent erections. In other words, there's no conflict between pm dampening the sex drive and the user having less interest in sex. I'm not sure what the results would typically be when a male wants to maintain his sex drive at a pre-pm level while still taking pm to grow breasts. It almost sounds like you're trying to work against yourself. Huh

I'm also curious to learn more about this.

Oh that's easy. A lot of people have the dysphoria but also a happy loving married life which they do not want to lose. For such people, full functionality along with the ability to look like a female represent an ideal.

If my wife and I were younger, it would be for me too, but now a reduction in drive is desirable.

There's been a lot of spiteful comment in other areas about whether autogynephilia exists, whether it is on the spectrum of cisgender <-> transgender or some other "condition", etc. I think it only matters to activists, and is as relevant to normal life as proof of the existence of the Higgs boson.

Well, I know that (a) the description applies/applied to me and (b) estrogen calms my mind, so as far as I am concerned the answers to the debate as mentioned are "yes" and "yes".

I can understand wanting to continue having a sexual relationship with your significant other. It's the part about wanting to have morning erections and an interest in porn is what I don't get.

Well, the morning erections help prevent shrinkage, I understand. As for the porn, I agree. Personally, I have always found the aftermath of its use to be shame and guilt, particularly regarding the subject matter. It also seems to me to be a form of unfaithfulness. That's why I'm happy to have reduced my libido so that I have no need of it.

I assume people that think porn is ok to be a product of our hedonistic age. I could bore you at length with a discussion of cultural marxism encouraging the breakdown of capitalist culture by promoting decadent behaviour, but that's probably going too far for this topic.... Wink

Well, for one resource that I can find off hand is http://www.transfemme.com/faqs on #23 where they state that the Transfemme program will sterilize you. Personal experience is that my semen is not white anymore but a cloudy appearance to it so I think they are right. At 63 I don't really care if I am sterile. I have my family. However, this is something that should be stressed here a lot more than it is.

I think if you search the board, you will find several warnings to younger people that they should consider freezing their sperm. I don't know what is in Transfemme, but their FAQs claim that their product works by triggering aromatization and further that it locks males into producing hormone levels similar to females permanently! I find this dubious, but, in any case, it is unlikely to be based on PM.

Whilst I agree that anyone who wants children would be taking a foolish gamble to tinker with their estrogen levels, there is some research that shows, with rats at least, that PM does not appear to cause permanent sterility... http://www.breastnexus.com/showthread.php?tid=11223&highlight=rats

However, like you, I'm over 60, have my kids and don't want any more!

Transfemme is BO. They also allude to once selling some sort of reversal product just in case a person decides it was a mistake. I can find no other references to BO causing these permanent changes. Based on what others report on this board, I get the impression BO is much like any other program in that once a person stops taking it, the feminization reverses over time. Transfemme implies once the process starts, you're locked in for life and no longer need their product. Still, I'm curious what was in this alleged reversal pill.

Hmmm. It rather sounds like the kind of scam that preys on desperate people, rather like the "hair tonics" that were sold before minoxidyl was discovered...

My comments earlier about reverting to male functions when I quit is good news to those who change their mind and decide not to pursue NBE. For those of us who do pursue and want to all of a sudden want "normal" male functions again it is also good news. However, sterility does not seem to revert as the semen color did not change. So quitting to have kids probably won't work.

The claims of TransFemme do seem sort of a come-on but somewhere, I don't remember where, someone went through the biology of that changeover and said it made sense. Not understanding the medical details, I took their word for it.

If you haven't, I would suggest getting a fertility test done to see if you're sterile or not. I don't think sterility can be determine solely by the color of your semen.
