I'm a bit of a bibliophile, with a rather large collection of antiquated books. I'm not a huge reader, but more of a collector of books on certain subjects. The really interesting books I'll dive in and read.

These are four of my recent purchases. Louise Suggs & Jackie Cochran are two women I greatly admire, and the love affair with Oscar Wilde & Bosie Douglas has always captivated me.

I'm curious if there are any other readers in here? I'm mainly interested in non-fiction subject matter, but during this dreadfully cold winter it seems perfect to crack open a book and read.

This is a cool thread, I have to post something more once I'm awake and not busy. I love reading, but have been lazy for a long time because my books are packed away somewhere and have been for a long time. Latest readings have been ebooks, but its not quite the same thing to hold a physical copy.

I've read quite a lot especially when I was younger with better access to so much. I lived near the main library which was awesome. Anyway, more about this later, very fun topic!

Well apart from my embarrassing latest read..... The story of Aston Martin by Peter Tomalin.

Lately I have taken to high action paced fiction spy novels but I have to say I have always been a fan of Hunter S Thompson, his books always seemed to boarder on fiction and non-fiction but after his untimely demise, I believe they were completely non-fiction.

The board was dead for the last few days, and I'm glad to see several responses so far!

One section of my interest I was glad to see completed recently was fairy tales. Hans Christian Anderson, The Brothers Grimm, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, Aesop's Fables.

I do have a nice leather bound book on the Greek philosophers, but I keep forgetting to add the Odyssey & Iliad by Homer. They're on my short list.

I do quite a bit of reading, though not as much as I did when I was in teens and '20s, and usually have several books going at the same time that I bounce between depending on mood.  Currently I'm re-reading one of my favorites, I Claudius, by Robert Graves, historical though not a history.  I'm also working on Battle of Wits, about codebreaking just before and during WWII, by Stephen Budiansky, and Legends of the Samurai, by Hiroaki Sato  I also just finished Slow Horses, by Mick Herron, the first book in the series, a very fun read, and the basis of the great TV show of the same name.

I’m a big fan of Japanese and Samurai history. Currently reading the huge novel Shogun, by James Clavell. Reading it on my Kindle rather than try and hold the 1200 page paper copy
