How we all differ here and in the TG spectrum

#1

Well the world of TG is never dull ?

I have just read about a TG girl who had been through all the hoops,

Hormones, surgery approval, lived full time etc etc

then was 1 week away from surgery and she had

sex as a man with the tools below, told her surgeon she had and he cancelled the operation
and thats it smoked and done as she still likes to use the Man tool

Ummm

food for thought

I guess he`s was just being careful, especially in this day and age where there`s litigation for everything!
makes me kinda grateful that I can`t stand the thing and it hasn`t worked at all for nearly 3 years now, so I`ll certainly dodge that bullet.
Actually I`m kinda Amazed that after doing all that stuff that it still works! xx

Bet mine would

It’s always like wood

If it was chopped off i think it would come and tap me on the shoulder but thankfully I like it so it can stay

I am with you on that Katie.. I mean...sure it goes stiff, but as an actual tool it is completely usless.

This scares me a bit, both things really.

It seems like a lot of trans women want it not to work, but I don't think I want that. That's really one of the things that makes this also really hard for me. I mean it's not impossible for a woman to find someone like me attractive, in theory anyway, though I've been away from even trying to date while I figure out exactly who I am. I enjoyed sex before, I don't know why others don't though I can understand why it makes many dysphoric. The porn stars seem to manage OK though, and get their surgeries if they want them.

well I can`t imagine ANY Woman wanting to have Boy parts as part of their anatomy, and I have asked quite a few of my girl friends and they all agree too, they would hate it! I`m just no different to them really in feeling this way.
it might be ok for a giggle once in a while if it was something you could undo easily, and I probably would have joined them in that had I have been born with the right parts as they were, there`s nothing inherantly Wrong with penises, they just belong on a woman Wink
You`re own brain tells you that, it will expect something else to be there, it might not know What that something is, but it will KNOW it certainly shouldn`t be a penis! and having one will feel embarasing, disgusting and you`ll view it as a deformity like a tumor.
the act of sex (if you`re ever comfortable enough with a partner to get that far), in a male role will not come naturally to you either, it`ll be a deliberate mechanical thing, the whole "You`ll know what to do" instinct is simply not there, it`ll feel wrong at best.
this is just how it is, for me and some other transsexuals.

but when you consider the topic title and the fact that it IS a very broad spectrum, you`ll see that there is no Right or Wrong way of being trans, if you`re gender variant in whatever way, you`re Trans! it`s that simple.
so you really have nothing to worry about, nor have the porn actors, if thats how they roll then Fine as long as they`re happy and comfortable to do that, then Great! Smile

My personal opinion is that no single person is exclusively male or female, and that the binary system of identification is simply a way of making sense of gender issues. The only clear reference for the construct was anatomy as it is the most obvious at birth. The reality is that each one is at a different place on the gender spectrum, and the different aspects of how we experience gender and sexuality aren't necessarily the same as each other (excuse my lack of terminology knowledge) - every single person alive is unique. Most trans people are so conditioned to use the binary system as there isn't really a suitable way to describe themselves I believe.

As for myself:
I was assigned male at birth but I'm not typically macho at all
My sexual preference is women (I have no interest in men)
My gender identification is a mix - I'd consider myself a feminine male, and I long for a very female body
My gender expression is male, albeit not so manly - I have feminine nuances
I present male although I'd much prefer to become more androgynous in appearance

I wish there was a way to describe ourselves without having to use the word trans (because essentially every person is trans to varying degree's), the silly binary system of male or female (because nobody is truly either), or the host of crazy made up labels which expand so rapidly that there'll soon be one for every person.

I wish there was a "thumbs up" emoji for the board, cause I totally agree to that....   My only difference is that I like to present female about 45% of the time.  Not just feel feminine.

Thanks for explaining that perspective. Some of it does resonate with me, I feel very awkward in the male role in dating, in the bedroom though, I am fine. I'm non-binary/genderfluid, this is becoming more clear as time goes on.

The labels aren't crazy, though there are too many of them. Still, that attitude, or worse, is one that one gets if one uses them, especially outside of trans friendly spaces. With non-binary now being a legal marker in some states, perhaps they will consolidate.

I'm personally kind of hung up on whether to use transgender or non-binary to describe myself. The problem really is that people make assumptions when you use any of them. Although I am non-binary, I prefer she/her pronouns, and dress feminine leaning androgynous, and want to present even more feminine once I am further along with electrolysis.
