Eva, you are a woman and have always been one. You know what you feel like, so you know what that woman feels like. The only thing is, your feelings are influenced by presenting as a man for all those years, as are mine. You have a perspective on gender which not many people can claim. Transwomen are women, and we often obsess over our appearance like many natal women.
My desire for FFS is not aimed at what other people think of my appearance. I'm often told that I have a feminine faces and pass well as a woman. My motivation is completely internal. I want to look in the mirror and see the woman I should have been -- the me without the T. I don't want to change my looks entirely, only to soften my appearance. Therefore, I'm looking for a surgeon who is not overly aggressive; someone who will listen to, and respect my goals. A little FFS will go along way for me to become comfortable with my appearance.
Your goals are different, so your approach is different. That's as it should be. I still recommend having a photo of you modified to show what you are likely to look like after surgery and recovery. It cheap compared to the FFS itself.
Hugs,
Clara
