Okay, so it's been about three months since starting PM and Maca with Pygeum Spearmint and Fenugreek.

Finally I have some growth somewhere besides my backside and hips, it feels like half a tennis ball behind my nipples on each side and they hurt a lot... like I've been kicked or something.

I am not really thinking they are picture worthy or anything like that, but (and I don't want to seem like a wimp) I want to know if they will keep hurting like this and if pain relievers will mess with the growth.

I've gained about an inch since first measure on May 11th.

Sounds about right... 1/2 tennis ball seems a bit big, but mine kicked off after about the same amount of time - more like a handball or a golf ball. I don't use maca or mint. The soreness subsides but they'll remain tender, at least mine are after 6 month more. I now know why women's blouses don't have breast pockets... Put on a dress shirt and throw your cell phone in there... Ow indeed!
I had some relief from anti-inflammatories (aspirin, ibuprofen) and Arnica gel is soothing, and helps relieve some of the tenderness.

I've been on NBE a little longer than you - slightly different routine but I've never had pain in my chest that made me want to take pain relievers. As long as the pain is where you want the gain, I wouldn't worry about it - it's a pretty common result of what you're doing. Maybe drop the PM a notch and see if the pain lessens. There's no evidence that more pain = more growth or for that matter, absence of pain = absence of growth.

yep the pain is normal, it will take some adjusting but after a while it wont be as bothersome, in the mean time you will just have to grit & grin like the rest of us, sometimes thinking of the end results can help.

Yeah the pain can be unbearable but totally worth it in the end Wink

Hello JustEmily.

I don't see how pain relievers would interfere with NBE. If this was true, none of us would be able to take pain relievers without risking the chance of messing with our growth.

The good news is the pain should subside after a while.

I replaced one of my three doses of PM with 2000 RC Extract ( I do... or did 7am-3pm-11pm doses of 1000) I swapped out the 3. It's gotten a bit better.

My wife suggested a heating pad, and it really helped.

Thanks for the kind words of advice and encouragement.

Another thing you could do is 1000mg AM, 500mg mid day and 500mg at bedtime. That's what I'm doing and it seems to be working well.
