[attachment=10932][attachment=10933][attachment=10934]I have mentioned i like vintage clothing yes even older style bras,
I was out looking and found what visually to me was a treasure.
I usually buy bras a number of sizes to small out of ignorance,, and the fact it gives me incredible cleavage for fun photos,,
I even thought at one time a 38 d was my size and i was very impressed with this ,, felt great i was that far along.
But that was wearing cramped, bras that smushed my into uncomfortable shapes, nice shapes but uncomfortable ones.
Well I found this brocaded bra today golden, with a tough lace in the cup that has a faint animal print in it.
It was HUGE,, and we kinda laughed trying to imagine just how little of it id fill. but i couldn't leave it,,lol it was (to me) beautiful and i thought maybe i can use that material elsewhere.
Well i was thinking of where to cut it,, and what to salvage when i got home,, and i thought (oh hell try it on just for laughs,,, Its a frigging 36DDD,LOL,),, it'll show me how far ive got to go to get where i want to be.
I should have listened to Lotus,,, because this damn thing fit like a glove.
Not piling me up for cleavage,,, but fitting me the way a bra is supposed to fit,, comfortably.
Now im still confused about this,, I can put both of my rolled up fists into one cup,,, so that seems huge to me,, but am i wrong
Is a 36DDD smaller than a 38D? am i confused and actually smaller than im thinking??

36DDD would be about the equivalent of a 38E (or 38DD) so the 36 is actually a bigger size as far as the actual breast is concerned. Smaller band size, but more space for the boobs.

Thanks,,, OHboobs,,band and cup size, is unfortunately rocket science for me at the moment. (Its the equivilant of a 38E,) Whoa.. It may sound nuts but i want these alot larger before i stop. thanks again.

This link was posted here before somewhere. It contains measuring and sizing directions. My wife didn't believe the size she measured for, 36E, as many stores don't carry it. We ended up finding it made my Panache, an upscale brand, and it fit her great. IIRC they have videos on the site too that explain a lot.

The sizing of vintage brassieres may be quite different from that used for modern bras (I have personal experience of this from buying & wearing Marilyn Monroe bullet bras), as the old bras did not use elasticated bands or underwires.
Today, the under-boob dimension is directly taken as the band size, but then they used to add 3 or 4 inches to get the basic bra size. So a 32" measurement might have translated into a 36" bra.
I also have issues with the modern method of determining cup size. The mantra is that you take the difference between the over-boob and under-boob measurements, so that 1" gives an A cup, 2" a B cup etc.
This might work for the smaller band sizes, but I think it needs modification for the larger band bras (band 38 or more) which many crossdressers might require.
According to this formula, I should be a C or even D cup, but in fact I can only fill a B!

well if im to believe the label inside the bra, we are definitely in the large size zip code. the brand name is Lunaire. Im thinking it might not be as old as i thought.? of course im not familiar with it,,lol I have more things with the Dicks Sporting goods label than anything else.
Oh i wanted to add this bra has very little give in the strap,,, its a wide thick strap im guessing its made that way to better control boob shiftage,,?lol hell i dont know,,

Im with ya on that Jamie,,,I always have loved brocaided clothing, from the old movies, usually period flicks about the middle ages,, or Renaissance. Or those semi cheesy -kinda cool,,, vincent price (Poe movies,)Lol.
Theres a huge and i mean huge antique mall in a large town nearby,, it has two big rooms full of nothing but vintage clothing,, wild stuff, you sure wouldn't find on the rack anywhere local. I'm going to have to make a trip up there next month,, cant remember how good or fair the prices were,,,but back then i was pacing nervously waiting for my female partner to get done ,,so i could go look at cool guy stuff.lol,, times are a changing aren't they,,
If i dont talk to you again before then ,, have a happy holiday okay,, your a sweetheart.
