I'm finding more and more my body hair is beginning to turn me off. I have used an epilator on most of my body, but I notice the hair on the tops of my fingers seem to grow daily. I'm strongly thinking of starting electrolysis in the new year for my face and my hands. ( we have a place close to here that cost @ $40 an hour.)

Anyone else going through these feelings ?

Believe it or not jannet, having hair growing on various parts such as fingers and toes is a sign of good circulation.( saw that one on Dr. Oz). So at least you have that.



You could save some $ and use a hot face cloth and tweezers for the ones on your fingers.

One thing to remember: hair grows in cycles...this folicle today, that folicle tomorrow, etc.
So you may need to be very diligent at first, after a while after plucking, they get finer, like silia on a females arm ( barely noticible) .

It may sting at first, but like when you get a tattoo, the pain lessens after a while. Using a hot face cloth will open up the pores and make the hair slide out easier

But I have MAJOR problems with shaving (in growing hair etc). So... I have been investigating if there is a "natural" way to remove hair that actually works. I am sure it will be of no surprise to anybody here that most of what is touted in the big wide world of Google just doesn't work (I have checked).

Guess what? I think I may have actually found a way to do it!

I wasn't expecting to notice anything for at least a month, as even Vaniqua (the only proven hair removal cream currently available, and it's only by prescription) has to be used for 4 - 6 weeks before seeing any results. So you can imagine my surprise when I am barely into my second week with the experiment and I can already clearly see a distinct thinning of the hair and I can actually see small areas where the follicles are hairless!

Trying hard not to get too excited and will do a proper post once I have quantifiable results. But seeing your post I just couldn't resist the temptation to say something.

Oh, and it's cheap too!

I've always wanted permanent hair removal of my face as I hate shaving. Unfortunately I don't have the cost in my budget. But I do have a budget in place to pay off all debt so maybe in 6 or 7 years it can be something that rises to the top.

I must say I had to look close to see that I actually have hair on my hands. My arm hair stops at my wrist and what is on my hand is visible but fine and sparse. My beard though is a different thing altogether and since it has gone mostly gray, laser removal is almost certainly ruled out. Currently though it bothers me more to shave than not to shave. So once a month or two I shave and get a haircut.

Here is an article on a trans-woman who kept her beard but got the hair on her arms removed. Just goes to show that there is a wide spectrum of folks trying to figure things out.

I want mine to be all gone also, in a no-nonsense fixes-everthing way too, actually I don`t mind facial hair growth too much as it serves me well to get along with others in "secret" (I`m a Girl in full control of a Mans Body!).

I absolutely HATE! the growing back bit though, esp the darker/courser hairs and all the prickly, stabby, pinchy feeling I get.

I`m dead lucky that my arm hair is near zero, the outside of my calves is near zero too, and I`v never been brave enough to do armpits yet (going on the other stuff I HAVE done and felt that regrowth).

I`m a bit of a chicken really.

If you use an epilator, it grows back finer, and softer. Once you get the hang of it, it's painless.

I did read an article that seemed to sugest that 5 to 7 years using an epilator will permanently damage the hair folical beds, and stop growth.

well.... I`m Hoping that I can get one shortly and p[erhaps being mutualy beneficial for both of us, although I must admit, knowing the action of an epilator, I`m somewhat hesitant to try it.
pain is such an aweful and constant thing, that a break from would just kinda be NICE!

I just wish people would at least shave their chest or something before posting pics. Not to sound negative but hairy chests are a major turn off when trying to be fem.

I was super stressed out by the amount of hair on my hands. But the Tria 4x laser greatly reduced it, permanently. Now every so many months I switch back and forth between Tria and epilators.

I did pick up and use one of those Silk'n SensEpil light epilators a few years ago, as I have fairly fine hair anyway it did not work for me. I have been using it on some parts of my face, but that seems like it's a waste of my time too. It seems to use these things with any success you need to have dark hair.
