Hopefully the lubricant or whatever is used to help with the coaxing doesn't create a burning sensation!
I got scoped about 4 yrs back, due to having a little blood in my urine. They wanted to make sure there was no tear or cancer or some type of open wound in my bladder. Usually the doctor or an assistant will use a lubricant with a numbing agent incorporated with it. The reason is that most males can only handle an 18 fr. gauge cath, but most scopes is about a 22 or 24 fr. gauge. That is if I remember what the doctor told me... But never the less the stress of the test is what does it. The "One Eye Snake" does see it coming bro. You could have an S.I. swim suit model coming in to do the procedure, and that wont matter a hill of beans when it see's the endo scope coming at ya.
