Interestingly, the article says there are 700,000 transgender people in the United States. The statistic isn't footnoted but I rarely ever see numbers mentioned.

Recently, mom told me there was some other cowboy movie star named Dale that I was named after. I forget his name. Dad used to also tell me that if I was a girl they would've named me, Dalita. How coincidental is it that he kept making female references about me when I was little, when I actually wished I WAS female nearly all my life??
