LisaM HRT Transition

That looks far more manageable.

When I did my research I didn't pick up that about Red Reishi, other than the usual warnings they give for most herbs ' safe for 'a' period of time'. I was on RR daily for many months and saw zero side effects, but that's not to say others wouldn't. Interesting as I have been thinking about adding RR to help my green tea kill off my DHT.

Good luck with your ne regime Smile

Thanks Smile

I've had a month off everything bar milk thistle and HRT and I've had no re-occurrence of that awful pain.
As always when you take a lot of things it's trying to work out what was causing the issue, further research suggested that GTE = bad for the liver in a significant way, RR less so, and a suggested 4 on 2 off regime. I can't abandon everything because (RR particularly) I need for the AA effects as I'm not on a pharmaceutical blocker and given how speedy the NHS is, it could be another few years before I would be.

I had hoped I was going to be ok as I'd been on the full range of everything for almost a whole year non-stop and had been feeling great right up until the end of January, probably effects are cumulative or even possibly it was something unrelated and merely a coincidence, but as I only have one liver and life I need to be sensible about how I treat it.

Age too might be a factor, I'm no longer as young as I was, and will be 60 at the end of the year.

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for the intel, much appreciated.

One of the reasons I dropped RR was my Een injections have completely nuked by T levels to below female range so would have very little/no DHT conversion. However, as we need some T for good health and avoid the likes of osteoporosis I've essentially halved my Een weekly intake to try and bring my T up a little.

I'm 'fortunate?' for the last ten years I've had full blood works done every quarter and thankfully my liver continues to work tickety-boo, maybe that has been helped by me doing most of my NBE rectal, who knows. You only have one liver and that needs looking after so rotation and milk thistle are very wise.

I'm due blood works later this month which now includes hormone panel and hopefully my T levels will be more in the female range, if so then I'l start RR again to kill the DHT and do a similar on/off rotation.

I'm only a couple of years younger but what has completely surprised me is how progynova and latterly Een has made me feel ten years younger. I'm now trying to get the NHS onboard with me staying on E but not to transition. So far I'm not making much progress, but I can't complain the NHS have been brilliant with me with my medical issues over the years, but for hormones no matter if you transition or not the NHS is one big steep long uphill journey!

At our age you have to be very realistic, health is the number one essential.
