@Aria, given that Musk and Bannon, two of your President Lobster's best friends, are working to re-instate fascism in Europe, the problems the USA face are really serious even here in Europe.

Steve Bannon, whom I assume you're referring to, worked under Trump for a grand total of 9 months. He was fired and then made a career of writing books trashing Trump, saying he was too far right and "a threat to democracy". I pray to a God I don't believe in that Trump didn't hire that idiot back. I saw that he did the most overt Nat-Socialist salute out of anyone on the right, which tells me either he's been possessed by the ghost of Adolf or he's trying to kamikaze the entire right wing because he's got nothing better to do. As for musk, we shall see what he does. It won't bear on trans people though.

I'm also in the minority here. I voted for President Trump, and approve of much of what he is doing. As to how it will turn out, let me say this: I am a male that has been actively trying to grow breasts for years. I have a small pair that I like very much. I have no intentions of transitioning. My niece, however, has transitioned. She freaked out in 2016 saying that the world was going to end, and that her life would be doomed. None of that happened. Everything about her life became better, except her anxieties. 2020 happened, and she was happy with Biden. Now that Trump won again, it's back to 2016, only worse. She won't acknowledge that the world didn't end during his first 4 years. It is just endless, and that's sad. She's just so pissed off that it affects all aspects of her life. I can't, and won't deal with that kind of crap. Who wants to hang out with someone like that. Perhaps in 4 years, she'll get her way, and a Democrat will win the election. Then she can be happy again.

There is a lot of hate here in this thread, and most of it coming from those of you that are like me, yet not like me. I can tell you that being nice is so much better than being hateful. Keep your head down, and stay in your lane. That's what most people do, anyways. Life will go on.

I am not sure if I understand your post. Let me summarize and tell me if I got it wrong:
I am not trans and Trump's laws against trans people don't affect me. My niece is trans and those laws affects her, who is directly targeted by the recent changes, but I won't listen to her because it still doesn't affect me.

Did I miss something? Sounds like whatever happens to others and doesn't affect you hasn't really happened. Glaciers melt? Not true because the ice in your freezer is still there.

Personally I wish I/we could turn this this thread off.
Leaders on both sides of the pond, across Euroland and further a field all have their pros and cons but what history tells us is they ALL will most likely f3ck something up.
I fully appreciate that many need an outlet but in my humble opinion I'd prefer to keep the politics off this particular forum.
