Now look who's the hypocrite.
Hypocrites don't have to be faux religious nut jobs to still be hypocritical nut jobs.
In my experience religion and no book of scripture will ever make a hypocritical bastard into a decent person. Not by themselves. A real close relationship with God does. There is a difference though... The latter is called "spirituality". And doesn't always actually require actually knowing you're even communing with any particular god or any god at all. Slamming them and calling everyone who thinks there's a spiritual reality out there at all delusional is NOT having a heart at all let alone having it in the right place.
Whether there is a spiritual reality or not, we both know our own opinions on this, it doesn't matter. Saying things like:
Quote:it'd come pretty easily to someone who VEHEMENTLY believes in something that DOESN'T exist
Is being a damned bastard towards ALL people who DO believe there's a spiritual reality. Not just a mere bitch towards the hypocrites among them.
And I'm not putting you down for not believing in spiritual matters. I'm calling you out on being a closed-minded bastard about it. I'd be calling someone else out for being a closed-minded bastard about atheism but you'll notice that doesn't actually happen if you were actually honest about it. I HAVE called people out for being a closed-minded bastard about OTHER belief systems. It's happened before. I've called people on it before. And EVERY TIME I SEE IT I WILL CALL IT WHAT IT IS.
And you'll notice and everyone will notice that not ONCE have I said that there can't NOT be a god. I've been quite open to the possibilities of basically anything. Yet even as you're saying one thing with a handful of your words you're spending the entire rest of them saying that there definitely CAN'T be a god.
All I've been saying this entire time is that playing with absolutes in theology when talking to and about others is NOT acceptable. You can say whatever you like about your beliefs about yourself. But calling anyone who disagrees a delusional fool is BEING a delusional fool. Therefore when you disagree it's best to just NOT TALK ABOUT IT. AT ALL. That's what (mostly) EVERYONE'S been doing EXCEPT you (and tibetan, but she's a whole nother kind of special lol).
