At the levels found in FG, if you fear it, you should also avoid strawberries, apricots, and cherries. And probably quite a few other fruits and vegetables too. And perfumes. And some liquors. And cinnamon. Heck, you might as well listen to OSB and start boiling it to try to increase the potency of the bad stuff by eliminating good content and concentrating the bad.
Actually they are beginning to change their minds on just how high coumarin itself can get before it starts getting nasty.
Coumarin-derived drugs are, yes, much more potent and even more dangerous.
Though normally I would agree. Even at 5 grams of fenugreek a day I wouldn't really be too concerned. But at 10? I think it could start getting a bit interesting. This is, I'll admit, opinion. But it's an opinion that's based on studies being done even as we type.
In food and as a supplement or even both, I would be highly surprised if ANYONE (except clowns who actually follow what this OSB clown says) takes even so much as 5 grams of fenugreek in a day.
So no, I'm not warning anyone away from fenugreek. It really is quite safe usually. But the way OSB claims to have used it and wants others to? Not so sure that's as safe.
