Finally, I'd like to apologise to flamesabers for inadvertently hijacking this thread.

It's okay. I've done the same at some time or another.

What is the netiquette in these situations? Does anyone know? Should I create another thread if a random comment grows?

I think good netiquette would be creating another thread. Perhaps the thread could be titled 'experiences at the doctors,' or maybe a 'random comment' thread.

Sounds sensible.... should have thought of that myself. If there is anything to report back, I'll create a new thread.
