No, I never experienced any hot flashes during the few months I took sp. I'm not aware of anyone else experiencing hot flashes while taking sp. Are you by chance taking any medication that may cause hot flashes as a side-effect? A while back (before I started NBE) I experienced night sweats as a side-effect of a particular medication.
