"Trannier than thou", an explanation
#7

For what it's worth, I doubt Shirazmn is a transphobe. Transphobes don't say things such as:

Quote:I also see a lot of trangender women pre/mid/post medical/social transition who feel that they should be seen as women or that they were always women inside. I do not dispute this and I acknowledge them as the women they are

or:

Quote:I seriously do consider transgender people brave and strong for going through many different levels of adversity and pain to be recognised as their true self

IMHO, that is not the language a transphobe would ever think of (let alone speak out-loud IRL or on the Internet).

I've had the unfortunate circumstance of dealing with transphobes IRL. I know what they say and sound like.

Also, I don't think this thread is intended to be targeted towards a single individual. IIRC, Shirazmn disagreed with multiple members in the (now deleted) "safe space" thread.

Quote:There are a lot of forums out there for transgender people only. What is amazing about BreastNexum is that this space is not just for them and, because of that, many men come here looking for the answers and the acceptance that they can't get elsewhere.

I think that's an interesting point. Speaking from personal experience, I am a member of multiple trans servers on discord, but BN is the only place that also welcomes cis men seeking breast growth (or other physical feminization).

Quote:whenever I see that someone pushes their transgenderism on other people I think they commit the sin of misgendering the other person.

I feel like the word "transgenderism" is a bit of a murky concept to utilize. I suspect in this context, it's about "projecting" one's transgender identity onto a cis man's motivations for growing breasts. However, the term "transgenderism" is also a pejorative term that states trans people are a part of a insidious agenda to trick or mislead the youth into transitioning.

I do agree that misgendering can happen to cis people, not just trans people.
