It's really interesting how some people are scared of needles everyone is so different. For me I guess I've always been used to needles from all the injections I had when I was a kid, ouch, although I'd NEVER get a tattoo
Piercings even ear piercings can be troublesome to heal, some people's body just reject it even with non-allergenic jewellery. I had my naval pierced when I was 21 and had zero problem with that until 10 years ago when for some unknown reason it started to migrate / get infected and so had to take it out.
Last year I started using nipple correctors (for inverted nipples) and initially struggled as the piercings would get sore really quickly, but thankfully after a couple of months of daily(ish) use I can keep them sucked up all morning without any problem.
