I found some info for those of you that take GTE or drink green tea. I take a vitamin C tablet with my matcha as I have read this before. Below is a quote from the website and also link to the whole article:
"The Purdue University study, published in the journal [i]Molecular Nutrition and Food Research[/i], found that catechins are unstable in non-acidic environments (i.e. our intestines) and, after digestion, less than 20 percent of the total catechins remain. An 80% haircut in catechins! But adding vitamin C increased recovered levels of the the most abundant catechin (EGCG) by four-fold. A very large difference."
