Bra manufacturers are only able to claim and do claim that the bra will change shape only when worn rather than contribute to longer term effects, in addition past research suggests that wearing a bra makes no difference to breast sag in the longer term and in fact it can actually have negative effects on breast sag due to weakening of the supporting tendons.

I cant say other than occasional back and neck ache which I have fixed by changing posture and how I sleep that I have any issues without wearing a bra.....indeed mine have remained very perky.
Wearing a bra is more a societal and cultural thing than anything else although maybe some women will benefit from wearing one I dont think there is any scientifically proven benefit, its more likely an perceived benefit. I would concede there might be a mental benefit from having them reshaped by the bra so they appear bigger or more pushed up or that some people would feel undressed without one but thats about it.
Am in no rush to start wearing one either, to me its not a defining thing as to whether I feel female or not - theres a whole argument that its just enforcing societal norms by wearing one but thats perhaps a little outside the scope of this forum - its not philosophical nexus after all!
