Its called "cycling" the main reason is to prevent estrogen dominance. Cycling is often a preventive measure when one might stall on their current program. Breast and other receptors desensitize from over-saturation, and something else called tolerance.
The end result is having to take more to reach that same threshold once achieved from the intial starting dose. One such example is using pain medication, once your body reaches tolerance it takes more and more to achieve the initial therapeutic level, eventually you lose its primary effect. Either you detox/cycle or try something completely different, albeit not in the same class of pain meds.
Imo a mini-detox, or do a 5/2 plan or 6/1 (5 days on 2 off, 6/1 same way) or 3 weeks on 1 week off.
