Way cool!! Thanks for the video!! Makes me want to break out my Gary Numan records!! I fucking HATED the piss poor camera work, though!!!!!!! Any time a modern section came on, I'd have to look away from the screen!!!! Back in the mid `80's, I was in college in a t.v. production class and one of the FIRST things they pounded into our heads was to HOLD THE CAMERA STILL!!!! No sooner did they teach us that than all these shows, movies and commercials start showing up with the fucking wiggly cameras!!!! How FUCKING nerve wracking!!!!!
Anyway, one thing about this show is that, NOW I know what Depeche Mode is like and I like them!! A number of these bands I'd heard of via various people in my band at the time and I never bothered to listen to ANY of those bands. Now I find out that I not only like them, but, they had records out back then that I actually liked, but had NO idea it was any of these bands!! Throbbing Gristle, Depeche Mode, Heaven 17, I always thought they were some kind of hardcore thrashing punk band, like the Sex Pistols. Next time I go to Jerry's, I just might start snatching up all the Depeche Mode records he's got!! Lol.
I'm glad they at least had about 5 seconds of Tangerine Dream in this video!! Everything was Kraftwerk based!!
But they never touched on some of my faves, Kissing The Pink, Rupert Hine, Art Of Noise, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Laurie Anderson, White Noise, Thomas Dolby.....
