Just a suggestion...if you are uncomfortable approaching your personal doctor about this I quite understand. Perhaps you might go instead to a different doctor who specializes in hormonal and gender issues where you are not known and will not have the concern of coming out to someone you know? Chances are that your regular doctor will refer you to a specialist anyway. If you do as I suggest, you can always reveal that decision to your regular doctor later.
