If you have the funds and the pain tolerance, I suggest lasering off your chest hair. Provided you have compatible hair and skin color, lasering is likely to have noticeable results over a number of months.

I had a moderately hairy chest and about six or seven years ago began using a Braun Silk-épil epilator on it. Within a few years my chest became virtually hair free, with only the odd, now very fine hair emerging ever few weeks.

I can second the Braun Silk-épil epilator, whilst not as good or as quick as going for a commercial laser job, it does seem to slow the hair down.

After about 15 years of using the Braun on my pubes, they are now 95% permanently hairless. Over time one gradually pulls out the roots. I can go weeks without maintenance now and still look smooth.
