Alice's (flamesabers) transition journey -
flamesabers - 23-12-2022
Hello all,
I've been thinking of compiling a thread on my transition journey. I've been doing electrolysis and laser to remove my facial hair.
I've been on HRT for 19 months thus far. I switched from oral estradiol to injections (estradiol cypionate, 0.6 ml every two weeks sub-q) on December 15. Here's a record of my bloodwork:
May 2021 (0 months) (2mg of estradiol, 50mg of spironolactone)
August 2021 (3 months) (increased to 4mg of estradiol, 100 mg of spironolactone)
35 pg/ml Estradiol
700 ng/dl testosterone
October 2021 (6 months) (changed to 6mg of estradiol, 5 mg of finasteride)
74 pg/ml Estradiol
466 ng/dl testosterone
January 2022 (8 months) (changed to 8mg of estradiol, 5 mg of finasteride)
123 pg/ml Estradiol
491 ng/dl testosterone
April 2022 (11 months) (changed to 8mg of estradiol, 100mg of spironolactone)
124 pg/ml Estradiol
371 ng/dl testosterone
July 2022 (14 months) (changed to 8mg of estradiol, 150 mg of spironolactone)
138 pg/ml estradiol
105 ng/dl testosterone
November 2022 (18 months) (changed to 8mg of estradiol, 200mg of spironolactone, 100mg of progesterone)
130 pg/ml estradiol (VA)
200 ng/dl testosterone
Progesterone 3.9 ng/ml
Or
224 pg/ml estradiol (Planned Parenthood)
413 ng/dl for testosterone (clinic thinks test tubes were bad)
December 2022 (19 months) (prior to switching to injections)
54 ng/dl for testosterone
68 pg/ml for estradiol
I know my estradiol level is far too low. I'm hoping injections will resolve that issue. Ideally I'll be getting more bloodwork done after a month of starting my injections (so mid-January).

More pictures. These are all from earlier this month, so 4 months of injection for me. On 23 March, I injected my estradiol injections to 6mg or 1.2 ml every two weeks.
I have lost a bit of weight over the last several months. I've gone down from about 195lbs to 165 lbs.

Wow, 30lbs isn't a bit! Respect for that, i'm trying to loose some weight too so I know it's not that easy

Thank you Eve!
I accomplished my weight loss over the period of about 5 months, so no crazy fad diets or insane amounts of exercising. I basically just didn't buy any junk food at the grocery store, only ate out once a week, and strove to be more mindful of my portion sizes and hunger urges. In my experience, there's a big gap between what I actually need to eat to maintain my health, and how much I can eat before I start to feel full.
