Came across this while reading up on progesterone cream. The article suggests topical hormones should only be applied below the belly button and discusses why in relation to lymphatic drainage.

I don't use PC often, but when I do, usually slather it on a bit higher up. Smile

I agree.  The longer any substance stays in one location when not being used is not good.  That's like setting a warm iron on one area of the skin.  It may not cause any problems to start with, but it's a cumulative problem and it will dry up the skin and end in 3rd degree burns.

The same can be the case with hormones.  If not needed it has to be eliminated and not left to linger.  That's when cancer and other problems pop up.  But, I think the biggest reason for "below the belt application is it lets it into the blood stream quicker as well as lymph drainage.  A little dab on the breasts OCCASIONALLY is no big deal, but.......
