Hi all. Received a call from my new Doctor yesterday. She said all my latest tests looked o.k. except 2.

One is blood in my urine, no surprise there, since I have started to Intermittent Cath, I irritate the whole tract. So, there is bound to be some blood in the urine. So, no biggy.

The second was my PSA levels went from 1.87 to about 3.8 ( a little more than double) in 2 years since my last PSA. I did some more researching and found that PSO can elevate that test. It didn't say by how much, but in 90% of the cases it does. I will suggest to her that in 30 to 45 days I can have another PSA level done and if it's still high, then she wants me to see a urologist.

So, my advice.... If you are a bio-male, and you are due for a PSA test stop your PSO for at least 3 weeks prior to the test. Or at least make sure your Doctor knows about your PSO and it can raise your PSA levels.
