I'm sat here watching a program about particle physics. I also have huge interest in chemistry, geography, engineering and architecture.

My question are.

Have you noticed a change in your interests after starting NBE?

Have your hobbies changed?

Has the enjoyment of pre NBE interest/hobbies lessoned or changed?

Denita
Funny, you should mention this, Denita, though I expect in my case it has more to do with finally fully embracing and liberating my GID than it does with NBE.
For years I had several hobbies. All have now gone by the way, and I frankly recognise them now for what they were... nothing more than attempts to find activities to sublimate my GID.
I now look back on these pursuits like a college aged kid looks back at childhood toys.
I never had much in the way of hobbies, so I really can't comment on that. (About the only things that might qualify are reading, watching some TV and movies, and some interest in political matters, but I'm not sure I'd actually call them hobbies.)

As far as interests go, I only have a few months to go on, but so far I don't think I've dropped any interests. I will have to say, though, since discovering my feminine persona, I've taken a much larger interest in things like fashion than I did previously (but still pretty much a newbie Wink ).

Not really ... Engineers are genderless... lol. I collect old cameras.... 1900s through 1950.... estate sales and flea markets mainly... I also collect... Nail Pullers... and have a book on nail pullers.... 1850s - 1920s.... they were used to pull out nails... when nails were hand made and expensive... so carpenters would reuse old nails.. have like 15.... usually cost $5 or $10... most expensive one was $100... they are rare and most people have no clue what they are.... I also collect vintage jewelry... vintage earrings. Clip on and screw posts. have like 150 pair... I also like to build stuff and fix stuff.... its an engineer thing...
Yes, I think my interests have changed since NBE, but that also coincides with my discovering my cross gender identity, so I'd have to attribute the changes to one, or the other, or both.

The biggest change is my interest (or lack thereof) in sex, but I won't repeat the details here.

I also have a much greater interest in my body as the vessel of my soul, so to speak. I never paid much attention to my diet except that I had to cut back on carbs to keep my blood glucose from spiking. I let myself get too fat before without much concern. My interest in clothing or fashion used to be nil. I never spent much time on personal grooming and appearance. These are all aspects of my male gender. My female gender is very interested in these things.

Hobbies are pretty much the same, though. I still like woodworking, construction projects, electronics, gardening, hiking, photography, reading, and travel. I don't see any of these as belonging to just one gender, although my skill with various tools is typically masculine, not feminine. I never used to wear gloves doing manual work, but now I always do. I do find that my new breasts get in the way when I'm doing a construction project these days...LOL!

I spend more time with my wife now than ever. She and Clara are becoming good friends and lovers. Tongue
