After trying RC and a few other supplements over the last 10 weeks or so, I finally ordered some PM and received it last Thursday.

I took my first dose of 500 mg Thursday night. On Friday and Saturday, I took 500 mg in the morning and again in the evening. On Sunday and Monday, I took 500 mg in the morning. I haven't taken any today, and haven't had any for 36 hours. I had a total of 7 doses, 500 mg each, spread out over the last 6 days.

Even after 36 hours, I'm still showing the physical effects, and think I probably still have the mental effects.

Is this unusual? I sure didn't expect this. Could I have received a particularly potent batch? Could I be really sensitive to it?

Thanks!

Michelle
Hi Michelle,
Your experience sounds right by me. Sensitivity to PM varies from person to person. Count yourself lucky that you respond well to it. Keeps the cost down. $Smile$

I've reduced my dosage of PM to just 1000 mg per day recently, and still have generally tender, sometimes sore breasts. I have not lost the mental benefits on this smaller dosage either. I should mention, however, that along with lower PM dosage, I started taking anti-androgens (Spearmint and Pygeum) which has a compensating effect. The effect of these herbs continues for 5 or 6 days after stopping for my 7-day monthly break.

Taking more PM than you need to occupy those breast tissue estrogen receptors is a waste of money, so finding the lowest dosage that is giving you the results you want is a wise strategy, IMO. You can slow down the growth process then by lowering the dosage even more. Why slow it down? Well, possibly to better achieve your goals. Is your goal more for the mental benefits? What cup size are you seeking? Are you sure? Might you have a change of heart about growing breasts a year from now? The nice thing about herbal HRT is that it acts slower. That gives you the time to explore just what you need in the way of feminization to relieve your gender identity discomfort.

Many hugs dear,

Thanks for the feedback. Clara! Smile I'm glad to hear it's nothing to be concerned about; in fact, sounds like a good thing. Wink

I'm also taking SP (have been anyway for a while). Unfortunately, I currently have two large bottles of the fruit, not the extract, so I'm taking 2250 mg morning and evening.

My goal for the time being is to maximize the mental benefits while minimizing the physical changes.

I don't know my cup size, because I doubt a bra is in my foreseeable future. From what I've read here, given measurements, it's not obvious what the correct bra size is. If I posted my measurements, would I be able to get an idea? The calculators here have shown an unbelievably large range.

You're right about that, Michelle. We bio-males are so fixated on cup size, right?

I asked my wife awhile back what cup size she is. "I don't know. B-cup, C-cup or D-cup. You can't depend on the manufacturer's size labels anyway. I can tell by looking at a bra if it's likely to fit."

When it comes to our boobs, we are like a bunch of 14 yo girls. Wink

The effect lasts even after you've stopped taking it too!

I stopped about 8 days ago for reasons I explained in another thread. About 5 days ago I started experiencing constant pain behind my nipples, and this was only after I upped my dosage to 2000 per day for the previous week.

Update: this morning, 48 hours after my last dose (500 mg), I finally noticed a change, so I took another 500 mg dose. I'm curious to see how long the effect lasts this time.
During the budding and pain phase, the effects begin to taper off (meaning the bud swelling and noticeable pain) after 5 - 7 days -- at least that is what has happened with me.

Over the last week, I've been going with either 500 or 1000 mg per day, taking that additional 500 at night if it feels like I need it. Given that, it looks like somewhere between 500 and 1000 is about right for me now (and for the engineers, I'm essentially doing PWM to achieve that Wink ).

Mine got very sore after 5 weeks, I jumped right in at 2000 to start and Im at 2500-3500 and sometimes 4000... Its been 2 months today, the last three weeks Ive seen my nipples get about 3/8" larger and they are VERY sensitive and sore....

BUT the last two days the swelling and pain has gone down and Im not sure what to doHuh Maybe take a few days off???

My post is not very clear. What I am meant to say is that after 5 - 7 days of no PM, the pain and swelling begin to subside. Sorry!
