Wow, you really put a lot of attention to detail.  Makes sense after reading your other posts, but still...

Yeah! I'm definitely interested in the pro-aromatase items and increasing SHBG, not entirely sure what that is yet.  Do you mean you take a green tea extract capsule, (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/Life-Extension-Polyphenols-Decaffeinated-Vegetarian/dp/B000MYW2ZA) as opposed to drinking tea?

And I don't take any meds.

Looking forward to seeing what you'll "lay out"

Thanks

What are some good sources of progesterone, assuming no doctor to prescribe anything?

Big Grin

Like stevenator said.  Smile there's some herbal supplements that's progestogenic...but not significant enough like prescription progesterone or progesterone cream. One pump of PC is around 21mg compared to micronized progesterone tablets around 100 to 200 mg that's most common.

Good luck Dru.

Yes, green tea raises SHBG. Let's put it this way, raising SHBG raises E2 (estradiol)...other things raise SHBG too.

High insulin lowers SHBG, that'll raise testosterone and going in the wrong direction.

cAMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate) which are second messengers will increase SHBG, I know, it's technical.

Things like metformin will increase SHBG. We've known about SHBG since 2015 here at BN. Check out this thread in the Ladies forum, it's full of good stuff. We even had a scientist (Clelia) join in with the research. Something I found out was receptors cell are made up palmitic acid, and how cool is that?. This means receptor cells are fat lovin.

I'm still working on a list of what raises SHBG. But think about this, if we knew how to raise SHBG...it may mean taking less NBE/HRT.
Thanks Lotus, appreciate the info.

I was actually more curious about transdermal application outside of the breast area. E.g. if applying estradiol or progesterone creams would increase fat deposits on the hips, for example. Those adipose cells are supposed to be more receptive to PG/E.  Or inversely, if PG cream inhibits DHT in android fat regions, do they get smaller. I’m sure you can read between the lines, but generally haven’t seen much about applying cream to other parts of the body to achieve faster feminization of specific features.

Thanks for the kind words on the progress thread.
Thank you diometres22 and Lotus for the answer. I apologize if i didn't understand what the point was of this new program, i thought it was a complete new way to replace completely herbal NBE with Pm and other plant supplement. Of course it is, but mostly  for people who already struggled with DVT and can't afford PM or other plants due to health safety. Thank you diometres for making it more clear to me, it seems a very interesting method to try, especially because some massage is included with it. I'm curious to hear more about it, how strong it is  and how "slower" it is compared to other NBE programs.

Just in case i'll check if in my country there are any possibilities to get some online, not that i plan to take it soon neither. I see there is a lot of research these days in this thread, glad to see so many useful informations, i just feel dumb when i don't understand them immediately.

One question since you all seem very active: may i ask a recommended brand of Reishi? i want to make sure what extract ratio should i look for my Reishi capsules, currently sitting at 500mg x 1  (20:1 ratio). Curious to see what dosage and ratios your brands have compared to mine.

Again, thank you diometres22 and Lotus for your time and attention!  :P

I use reishi from Terrasoul, its definitely high enough quality to have the active ingredient in it. Make sure your supplement mentions a standardised percentage of polysaccharides and specifically names "beta glucans". Some companies will inflate their polysaccharide percentage with other kinds that arent beta glucans, so read into their claims.

Take my opinion with a grain of salt, however.

Thanks for the kind words on the progress thread.

It's recommended to change the areas of applications periodically to reduce what's called dermal fatigue. And what that means is continued application in the same area would lose its effectiveness. Kinda like when your body gets used to the same medication and you keep taking more. So, by mixing the application sites you maintain an equilibrium.

Regarding feminization of hips and buttocks, it's not just one thing that feminizes...it's a combination. For instance, if you apply the bioidentical hormone creams to breasts, hips and butt, etc plus an oral anti-androgen (that targets the liver, prostate, skin, brain) you stand a better chance of feminizing. Key thing to remember is to keep insulin in check...in other words, limit carbs that eventually turns into androgens.

Btw, DVT doesn't necessarily target 50 and over, it targets young adults too. See the study(s) below that DVT was found in a 20yr old, and a famous 21yr. old basketball player. Generally, this risk factor goes up after the age of 40. Staying fit and active with a sensible diet reduces the chance of getting thrombosis.

Calcium needs to be taken with vitamin D3, they work synergistically together. Meaning Calcium alone doesn't reach its full potential by itself.

Alexis, you're welcome. Though my thread is highly technical in nature it's perfectly acceptable to ask me questions. And when I'm active you'll see a flurry of posts with scientific research attached.

In my experience I've sought to search out organic Reishi mushrooms. I prefer the powder form so I can add it to my coffee. No more than 2x per day, best to follow the instructions, and that's it, you don't need more. Reishi inhibits DHT by 80-90%.

Good Luck

Lotus,  My current weight is hoovering around 215, my goal is to be  under 180. I am doing a low carb diet with periodic fasting. I have to add more exercise than I am doing now, but my plans are to add primarily CardioVascular exercise like a treadmil with mimimal workouts with the weight machines.  As for my diet, I am eating only one meal a day after 6:00 PM and no food after midnight. I do drink coffee and tea during the day.

MY medications are as follows Metformin 500mg, Fenofibrate 160mg, Atorvastatin 20 MG, Tamsolosin HCK .4 mg, Lorsartan Potassium 100 mg and Vitamin D3. I do have a regular family practice doctor, and no, I have not spoken to him about this. I think if I were going to talk to a doctor on this topic, I would want to find one to adress just this part of my care I can understand the need to keep some items like the liver in check. I have been told that I have fatty liver and my while my liver enzymes are in normal status and are checked annually they are not necessarily checked on each 4 month visit for my diabetes.

I have not seen any impacts to date for PM. But I have not been on it long, less than 2 months total. Please do not feel you need to apologize for asking questions, after all, I am the one who asked for your help with this. I find myself torn between just tossing the PM and SP into the waste basket and forgetting this process entirely and moving to the Bioidentical creams and seeing what happens. I really want to see my grandchildren graduate HS and collenge. LOL

Thanks Dru, excellent tips.

Thank you Dru and Lotus for your advices!

I personally would prefer to stick with capsules because of privacy: i hide all my capsules and anxiety medications in one small safe box with a key. That's the only type of privacy i can get in this house. I still live with my parents and i have no type of space whatsoever for me. I don't know if a bag of powder can be hidden as a small jar of capsules, also taking it out and putting some in tea/coffee  would require a little of time without my parents walking around to see what i am doing. Anyways, i checked up on Amazon and ebay and it doesn't seem i can find any famous brand of Reishi powder, specifically i checked out Terrasoul official site and see for their products, but the site clearly says that "international shipping is no longer available for orders outside the US". My country is kind of isolated for international things, always behind and disconnected from any type of e-commerce thing and in rare cases i can find something, there are crazy shipping taxes.

In case i will get powder in the future i will probably have to stick with one of the few brands available on Amazon.it (which has nothing compared to other countries' amazon sites).

Luckily, my Calcium supplements seems to have also VItamin D3 in it, so at least that is ok.

Btw, DVT doesn't necessarily target 50 and over, it targets young adults
too. See the study(s) below that DVT was found in a 20yr old, and a

That is not ok... damn. I thought i was kind of "in a more safe
position" because of my age, i was wrong. I am not even a very active
person and also kind of overweight. Maybe i should start to worry about it... :(

Anyways, thank you for the help and kindness!
