Hey there Dfleurs, I found a couple Reishi supplements from iHerbs I would try myself. The third one is from Amazon called Barlowe's, I've haven't seen anything stronger in terms of Polysaccharides which @ 20% and Triterpenes @ 5%. Reishi is estrogenic at estrogen receptors. Lol, thanks, (wiki-wiki wink-wink) Big Grin no I don't take PM anymore.

What makes Reishi important is the polysaccharides and triterpenes, protien is reported @ 18.5 %

The following info comes from a supplier of Reishi, which is the best description without being to technical.

Reishi mushroom triterpenes: Ganoderma, reishi active ingredients:Triterpene.Reishi mushroom triterpenes,Reishi mushroom extract Reishi mushrooms have been used in China and Japan for nearly 4,000 years as a health tonic and as folk medicine for liver problems, heart conditions, asthma, cancer, high blood pressure, and arthritis. The scientific name is Garnoderma lucidum and is distributed in many parts of the world.

Modern research and tests conducted in China and Japan have shown positive results in the use of Reishi against many diseases in animal and human models. Scientists have isolated several chemicals in Reishi that have pharmacological (medicinal) effects on the body, amongst which are polysaccharides, which have been shown to help the body fight cancerous tumors and also stimulate the immune system to combat infections and viruses.

Other substances, called triterpenes, have been found in reishi mushrooms and shown to lower blood pressure and improve circulation.

The polysaccharides element in Reishi is one of the most important elements in reishi, it can help enhance bodys immune system and improve metabolic function by oxygenating red blood cells, prevent bad cells, improve circulation, enhance liver detoxification, improve liver functions, bone marrow function, and DNA, RNA functions. It also works to cleanse the blood, detoxify and regulate endocrine function. Reishi spore and Reishi help promote longevity and strengthen health; it is used in the treatment of fatigue, coughing, asthma, insomnia, indigestion, hypertension, high cholesterol and neurosis.

It can also reduce the side effects and pain during chemotherapy and radiotherapy for cancer patients. Another major active ingredient found in Red Reishi are triterpenes, called ganoderic acids. Preliminary studies indicated that ganoderic acids help alleviate common allergies by inhibiting histamine release, improve oxygen utilization and improve liver functions. Triterpenes are bitter in taste and the level of the triterpene content contained in a product can be determined by the bitterness.

They actually wouldn't benefit each other, Reishi has an estrogenic action of estrogen receptors and inhibits both types of 5 alpha reductase. SP downregulates progesterone receptors, plus studies on SP are very contradictory, some studies have reported its no different than placebo, the fatty acids in SP are effective in inhibiting 5 ar, but you can take evening primrose oil for that same effect. SP doesn't agree with me, so my choice is with Reishi.

Oh you have tried those 3 before? Which one do you like the most? I know reishi is very popular and has a very long history in china as people use it for longevity of life. Never thought that it would benefit NBE program as well Smile

If I'm not mistaken the percentage is how many with that name have that cup size. Hope I can do better than an "A" which is where I seem to be about now. Tongue

I do like the pretty graph it draws with the nipple and areola size.

I have tried capsule and extract form, I prefer extract, which is the herb pharm. you'd be surprised what products can be effective in NBE. One such example is egg whites.

Before I forget I wanted to share this tidbit, it's called Leucine. Leucine-rich proteins (amino-acids) are human co-regulators of estrogen receptor alpha (ER-a, the growth gene). (like I said, an onion). Rolleyes

Leucine works with the amino acids isoleucine and valine to repair muscles, regulate blood sugar, and provide the body with energy. It also increases production of growth hormones, and helps burn visceral fat, which is located in the deepest layers of the body and the least responsive to dieting and exercise.

Molecular cloning and characterization of PELP1, a novel human coregulator of estrogen receptor alpha.

Abstract
Nuclear hormone receptors (NRs) are transcription factors whose activity is regulated by ligands and by coactivators or corepressors. We report the characterization of a new NR coregulator: proline-, glutamic acid-, leucine-rich protein 1 (PELP1), a novel human protein that comprises 1,282 amino acids and is localized on chromosome 17. The primary structure of PELP1 consists of several motifs present in most transcriptional regulators including nine NR-interacting boxes (LXXLL motifs), a zinc finger, and glutamic acid- and proline-rich regions. We demonstrate that PELP1 is a coactivator of estrogen receptor alpha (ERalpha). PELP1 enhances 17beta-estradiol-dependent transcriptional activation from the estrogen response element in a dose-dependent manner. PELP1 interacts with ERalpha and also with general transcriptional coactivators p300 and cAMP response element-binding protein-binding protein. PELP1 was differentially expressed in various human and murine tissues with the highest expression levels in the testes, mammary glands, and brain. We also provide evidence supporting the developmental regulation of PELP1 expression in murine mammary glands, the detectable expression of PELP1 in human mammary cancer cell lines, and the enhanced expression of PELP1 in human breast tumors. These findings suggest that PELP1 is a novel coregulator of ERalpha and may have a role in breast cancer tumorigenesis

** fatty acid synthase (FASN) in (humans)

Gene ID: 2194, updated on 21-Mar-2015

The enzyme encoded by this gene is a multifunctional protein. Its main function is to catalyze the synthesis of palmitate from acetyl-CoA and malonyl-CoA, in the presence of NADPH, into long-chain saturated fatty acids. In some cancer cell lines, this protein has been found to be fused with estrogen receptor-alpha (ER-alpha), in which the N-terminus of FAS is fused in-frame with the C-terminus of ER-alpha. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

More scientific proof that fatty acids helps with the binding process of estrogen receptor alpha (ER-a, the growth receptor). Specifically---palmitate (a solid unsaturated fat). I hope this is making sense for everybody. In other words- omega 3's and 6's needs to be in an NBE plan, the health benefits alone are worth looking into, another benefit is its ability to block DHT (e.g. Evening primrose oil, EPO).

Coconut oil
Evening primrose oil
Macadamia nut oil
Krill oil

And organic when possible.
