Hi Lotus, i'm new here. I didn't introduce myself in the forum yet, because i wanted to write to you first.
I really, really appreciate all the information that you wrote over here, it has been very helpful.

I didn't read your program yet, but i read all the Antiandrogens pages (till my eyes bled Smile).
It's almost 1 year that i'm on NBE (i'm a bio female), and it's several months that I am using (with good results) an anti-androgen oil for massage: hemp seed oil.
I would like to suggest it to you for maintenance (or more growth, it depends on how often you use it).
(It's also good aganist inflammation, as food.)

The absorption during massage should be good, as you can see in this review concerning oil absorption in baby skin:
http://indianpediatrics.net/oct2005/oct-998-1005.htm

hemp seed oil has about 70% EFA (essential fatty acids) and more ore less 4% GLA (gamma linoeic acid), the most potent DHT blocker among the fatty acids, as you reported.
Also, it has the best ratio omega3-omega6, that promote cellular growth.

I hope this could help you or someone else

Hi Anna,

Paleo with dairy makes sense, I've also looked at the ketogenic diet too, it's 70 to 75% fat percentage seems extreme lol, heck I'd think extreme athletes would find that to be a challenge right?, lol.

I've been doing my own version (I guess) of a modified paleo with dairy, I can definitely say my fat percentage (or type of fat) has shifted, and to the female range, (aka fat re-distribution).

That's encouraging news about your wife, hopefully it's benefiting you too.

Thank you for the post. Smile
It's nice to meet you Clelia, thank you for the awesome links, I haven't tried hemp oil yet. I found one research pdf today, and it talks about how omega 3 is a cancer preventive/chemosuppressive therapy, so yeah I'm sold how Pufa's ability. For me, or my benefit would be taking hemp oil internally, although topically would benefit too.

I must congratulate you, that must be the first time I've ever heard of anybody reading that thread start to finish lol. It's technical enough for sure, I have a tendency to put things in reverse, a carry over of mild dyslexia, evidence of the numerous info threads yet to be finished. Rolleyes

Our liver is Estrogen receptor alpha positive, (meaning the growth receptors), bone, brain, adipose, gonads are both ER-a and ER-b responsive.

I suggest we have a thread where members entire there NBE plan and get feedback from the group (a no pressure peak so to speak). Sure, we have program pages for that, but generally those are what "you" entered. What I'm suggesting is where a plan stalls, or a beginning plan. Often times no one responds to some members plan (sad but true).

Something called like this: Check my NBE Program

Any thoughts?

Any progress on starting up this concept? As is, I just update my program in my profile, but there is no way to post follow/results up there.

(I posted this a few minutes ago, but it seems to have disappeared.)

I think we're pretty close to getting a decision, I'll post the rough draft of the program so everybody can get an idea.
There's two versions, male and female (this is the female one), (sample illustration only- not a suggested program, for illustration only).

And thanks about the interesting research linked (maybe would have been better if they added alpha linolenic acid on their omega 3 research, but our body should convert it to DHA and EPA).

What a nice coincidence, that research group is close where I live.
Usually i write on the italian forum, so i am here just to thank you and report links that i didnt find on your demanding thread (thanx i have a BSc degree... That helped me a lot Big Grin).
Your research is very good Wink There is always a point where to start, then research brings you everywhere.

Btw, I have a question, what hormones a biomale should check, prior her program?
Unless that slots under diet/calories per day could you add in "protein intake per day" and the sources it comes from. - So many of us are dosing up on protein powders and sources thinking its key to weight gain and breast growth.

Having read up on gastric distress last night associated with protein powders it went indepth to explain the dangers of having too many amino acids in the body, to the point of toxicity & death.

This freaked me out because I have been taking "pea protein" complete amino acid source, then "hemp oil" another complete amino acid source, then "bee pollen" another one claimed to be the "complete source of nutrition" bla bla - any wonder the tummys been playing up huh....
Also put a footnote how important it is the add in all "vitamin & mineral" supplementation taking also as some might think its not relevant to NBE but it really is if they are megadosing on certain vitamins which is dangerous.

Thank you so much for that comment.....and wow a BSc degree (too cool) Tongue

(18-03-2015, 12:48 PM)-Clelia- Wrote: [ -> ]Btw, I have a question, what hormones a biomale should check, prior her program?

This could be expensive......but I'd have these checked,
total (T), free (FT), bioavailable testosterone (bT), oestradiol (E2), bioavailable oestradiol (bE2), oestrone (E1), sex-hormone binding globulin (SHBG), and insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), also progesterone, DHEAS, cortisol. albumin.

Or if that doesn't work I'd do this:
FT, E2, Progesterone.......some sites offer package deals (e.g 5 tests), seems to be the most popular, that's around $100 to $150.00 (U.S.).

Ok......now I have a question for you.Big Grin (I hope you don't mind).....I'm very interested in membrane fluidity (atm lol), anyways... what would you think if I said that the palmitoylation of estrogen receptor alpha (ER-a) is (or can be) mediated by oxidative phosphorylation?. Incidentally, I'm sure you're aware that fatty acids synthesize aromatase, (what are your thoughts?).

On another note....I've seen that EPA and DHA reduces the risk of breast cancer by as much as a 32% reduction, I don't know the dosage.

Estrogen receptor-mediated regulation of oxidative stress and DNA damage in breast cancer.
Mobley JA1, Brueggemeier RW.
Author information
Abstract
Estrogens have been implicated to be complete carcinogens in breast and gynecologic tissues. Possible mechanisms may include differential metabolism with subsequent formation of reactive oxygen species and/or a receptor-mediated pathway, which may also involve indirect modulation of intracellular redox state. Estrogen-mediated oxidative DNA damage in mammary gland epithelia includes the induction of 8-oxo-2'-deoxyguanosine, both in vitro and in vivo, thereby suggesting a role for oxidative stress in the initiation and/or progression of breast neoplasia. In order to study this phenomenon, we have treated estrogen receptor alpha (ER-alpha)-positive MCF-7 cells and ER-alpha-negative MDA-MB-231 cells with 10 nM 17beta-estradiol (E2), while measuring changes in antioxidant status and sensitivity to DNA damage by peroxide. Treatment of MCF-7 cells with E2 resulted in a marked decrease in the ability for these cells to metabolize peroxide, which paralleled a decrease in catalase activity and total glutathione levels. These observations also correlated with an increased sensitivity to peroxide-induced DNA damage. The estrogen-induced effects were all opposed by the anti-estrogen tamoxifen. In addition, the estrogen-mediated down regulation of peroxide metabolism, catalase activity, and sensitivity to DNA damage were not observed in the MDA-MB-231 cell line. Treatment of MCF-7 cells with E2 also resulted in increased glutathione peroxidase, superoxide dismutases (I) and (II) and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase activities. Therefore, in this breast cancer model antioxidant status is modulated through the actions of the ER. The data may explain some of the estrogen-induced pro-oxidant effects previously reported in vivo. In addition, this is the first report indicating that E2 is capable of inducing an increase in sensitivity to oxidative DNA damage through an ER-mediated mechanism.
