A lot has been written about the possible negative side effects of PM (GI distress, back pain, etc.), but I haven't read much about the positives beyond the various feminizing effects we hope to achieve. My bottle of Ainterol R1 has vague references to nutritional support, relief of menopausal symptoms, and its use as a natural beauty treatment, whatever that means.

I noticed that shortly after starting on a 2g/day program, my joints became much more flexible with less pain and stiffness. For example, I used to have to sit down to put on my socks. After taking PM for a week or so, I can do it standing on one foot as soon as I jump out of bed. I can't attribute the change to anything but the PM.

Also, after about a month on PM, I noticed that I lost 5 lbs of excess weight. There was no attempt on my part to lose weight, and, normally, for me, losing that much would take a decided effort.

PM's been a veritable fountain of youth for me.

Are there any diabetics or pre-diabetics out there taking PM? Have you noticed an improvement in your HbA1c (average glucose level)? I'll be getting my blood tested in a couple of months and I'm curious to see if there will be a noticeable improvement due to PM's beneficial effect on insulin resistance.

I've never been a big believer in the power of herbal supplements, but this is one is for real!

Have you noticed other positive effects on your health as a result of taking PM?

I have rhumitoid artheritis . I had an appointment to go for biopsy on my lungs . About 2 months prior my doc had done blood test to confirm RA . Me beleiving in power of natrural foods and herbs done research and went for it with strict diet. At the day of operation I went under a scanner to insert a guide wire . They could not find the nodule so used old scan and found the nodule had shrunk hence no surgery . My joints are less stiffer .
PM has brought me many benefits, but I find it difficult to assess its effects on general health issues since I have so many factors at work. For example, I tend to wake up feeling somewhat arthritic and that disappears after I have taken PM - but it did anyway as the day got under way even before I took PM. Likewise I had my A1C and impaired glucose tolerance under control before I started PM. The nurse practitioner that is the primary health provider for myself and my wife says we both look 10 years younger than our real ages but my wife doesn't take PM. Something that I do attribute to PM is that my PSA score has dropped to near zero. Rheumatoid arthritis and similar afflictions are always a big problem to deal with, and come and go mysteriously, but somehow I'm not surprised that PM may have helped you, mymoobs.

Exercise and eating right make me younger... and DHEA supliments.... . the youth hormone.... Though I don't know how much.... but playing ice hockey every week against 25 year olds makes me feel younger... ish....
Karren, as a born and raised Minnesotan, I agree with you about the health benefits of playing a lively game of hockey. Great exercise. Just watch out for those raised pucks!

Your comment triggered some other thoughts as to health benefits of PM.

One of the side effects that my wife noticed about me since starting on my NBE program using PM is that I have taken more interest in my physical body, male presentation, and general state of health than I did previously. If I think about it, she's right, and the effect is rubbing off on her as well. Our going out together to shop for feminine clothes (for me) has renewed her interest in the feminine, as well. I love that!

Another example: I never used to groom my eyebrows. They were getting bushier with each passing year. I brushed off suggestions that I trim them. Now, not only do I trim them, I pluck them slightly into a nicer shape.

That's not all. As I focus more and more on the physical changes to my body under the effects of phyto-estrogens (i.e., breast development), I've also become more interested in my overall body appearance. Getting rid of body hair was the first priority, which has now evolved into an effort to rid my back and stomach of several unsightly skin growths (seborrheic karatosis).

My wife has wanted an elliptical exerciser for years. Well, last week, we bought one, and now both of us are using it to burn off fat, tone muscles, and improve our overall cardio-health.

I don't know how long these practices will go on, but I can honestly say that had it not been for my NBE program, the focus on better "health and beauty" would probably not have happened. So not only has PM improved my mental state (I'm less conflicted, more patient, more sensitive to my wife's feelings), it has brought us closer together and put us on a track to better health. Wow!

BTW, I've encouraged my SO to try PM herself. She's hesitant to do so, because she is a DES daughter. Her doctor warned her against any post menopausal HRT due to higher cancer risk. I told her that I don't think PM would pose the same risk as pharma hormones. Does anyone have any knowledge of the cancer risk to DES women taking PM?
I went through those same changes 10 years ago..... no more body hair and working on every aspect to feminize by body... My wife asked why I shaved my stash off and I told her it was time for a change.... little did she know how big... lol

I went to school in Da UP and my wife is from Wisconsin... Eha... lol

Annabel, like you, my morning stiffness used to disappear after I got up and moved around for an hour. The change, almost immediately after starting PM and before starting daily exercise, is that now I get up without any stiffness at all. That's huge. It used to take a couple minutes just to get out of bed. I even had lower back pain from sleeping on my stomach. Now, nothing! Of course, now, I feel pain in my breasts when I sleep on my stomach. Big Grin

You're as young as you feel, and I feel younger on PM.

BTW, I tried taking another herbal supplement to address joint stiffness -- glucosamine and chondroitin from GNC -- with no significant relief. Finding that PM, IMHO, is responsible for this age-related malady is quite a welcome surprise.

P.S. Thanks for the encouragement on breast development in the autumn of life. I just turned 67 and so want to catch up with lost time.
