Hi I am about a month in to my PM regimen and its all I am taking but I started out right at 2000mg and after the first week went up to 3000mg and at the month marker i've dabbled between 3-4000 making 4000 my overall limit just cause my body has always been a bit stubborn to take to anything from aspirin to this so i take higher doses of everything otherwise i tend to see nothing from it.
In my time of research and reading I always googled stuff on estrogen dominance in men and such assuming thats how these affects from PM take place. And Propecia forums would pop up a lot. And thousands are literally after years of quitting and not touching it are still pretty well impotent and sterile from what Propecia has seemed to have done to them. Assuming from all the lawsuits associated with Propecia about the estrogenic effects it has in men being the overall outcome of this, and knowing that PM also will cause these effects over time such as impotence and sterility and such and such, which I know and understand, even though I am one of the few it seems who are just a regular guy wanting a set of breasts. But being 27 I am curious if I notice impotence of any sort whether its ED level or flat out from not paying attention and sudden awareness like wow i havent had an erection in weeks. (My gf and I aren't too sexually active, both still live at home and rents are home on weekends when we see one another so its tough) anyways...

Curious as to if I were to experience this and stopped and took supplements to assist in hormonal balance such as zinc or stiniging nettle, would my function come back to normal or at least normal enough to be able to rise up when needed. I don't wish to transition but I really could care less about my thing except for when the gf wants to use it, she has no idea im taking PM so I really dont want the attention of ED. I had slight gynecomastia when we met from Natureday and shes more than ok with it and has always dated bigger guys (im not big at all) so im sure she's used to cosmetic "flaws" but just curious if anyone who expperienced loss of function after awhile and realizing it later on that it wasnt improving, hopped off PM and if it returned to normal or not
Men are not meant to have high levels of estrogen. It depends on level of damage you do to your adrenal glands, pituatary and testis (and to the prostate).

Men who abuse testosterone steriods, cause damage their testis and in many cases are unable to return to normal function even discontinuing use. The damage is a result of the body shutting down production since there is so much free blood test due to the steroid. Use it or lose it. Eventually, the testis atrophy and if its profound enough or at a high enough dose, they do not return to normal.

Nafisa in 2010 found that estrogen in male rats caused 221 genes to be expressed differently and observed apoptosis (cell death).

Also, the estrogen acts like test steroid on the testis in that you testis will decrease the production of test.. So... Guess what will happen as a result.

Very simply.. You could very well do permanent damage.
Doh!

I agree, I could completely do without erections as I know that organ is still possible. Unfortunately my wife likes my penis more than I do so I must take precautions...

Good luck lady!

I think that is why some recommend cycling and taking a week off every 4th week and adding some "male enhancers" during that time.

How well does this approach work?

LOL, over long use, I think I would say the jury is still out. It also will undoubtedly be a matter of the individual, at least to a degree.

I can't answer that question as I'm not at that point yet, but I;m sure more will chime in. I'd say search the forum, but the search feature, like most forums, is horrible.

I think someone else also mentioned taking that magic blue pill when needed. Wink

I see, I wonder how well the magic blue pill will work?

Amanda I think that little pill can only do so much... The rest is about the individual and their level of desire to a degree. Even then, I believe taking this road far enough will eliminate all possibilities. Many of us do not care. There are "other ways" to attain satisfaction. But in the meantime, even magic pills will not fill in for a lack of real arousal.
