Is it normal for the growth sensations (bruised feeling, tingling, "sunburn" feeling) to go away shortly after your body adjusts to whatever dose of PM you're taking? I felt no sensations at 500mg/day but LOTS of sensation when I switched to (2) 500mg /day a week ago. However now, the sensations have been absent for the last couple days.

If the sensations go away, does that mean I need to increase the dose to get the effect? Does the absence of growth sensations mean there is NO growth or possibly just slower growth?

Is it blatantly obvious when you hit the "mental effect dose" or does it take time and dose experimentation to find it?

Yes, I would say so. For me it's sporadic when I feel growth sensations in my breasts.

I don't think an absence of growth sensations means no growth, otherwise I would have stalled a while ago. Instead, it could mean your body has acclimated to the growth sensations. If you increase the dose, you may get the sensations again, but it's not like you can do this indefinitely. The body can only make use of a certain amount of pm at a particular time.

I doubt one morning you're going to wake up, take your pm and suddenly realize you've reached the mental effect dose. Otherwise, it's hard to say. When I started taking pm, my focus was more on whether I was achieving any breast growth. When the brain rewiring was kicking in, not only did I lose a lot of interest in porn and the like, I also thought about such things a lot less. While this may seem a obvious cause and effect, think about this: How often do you think about how much you don't think about certain things?

I think once you experience the brain rewiring, you'll know when you start to lose it. This should be a good indicator as to what is your mental effect dose.

Something else to keep in mind is the mental effect dose might not be on the same page as the growing breasts dose. In other words, when you do hit the mental effect dose, you may be more focused on why your breast growth has declined and vice versa.

Or of course you may not find a 'mental effect' at all.
Thanks Flamesabers. Pretty rudimentary questions I know but since I'm using such a low dose, I wasn't sure what to do or expect. I was really happy to get the sensations at the low dose, hopefully I can stay down here and get all that I'm hoping for. Thanks for the reply.

Pansy-Mae: Good Point. I know nothing is guaranteed, growth wise or mental and I forgot to include my expectations in my OP. I'm hoping for both though.

I think a trade-off for the growth sensations is getting to the point when you're noticing your breasts more during everyday routines.
While I would suggest growth pains and other sensations such as burning, itching, and tingling are likely enough indicators of growth, there is no inherent logical path to the reverse. In other words, just because you decide A implies B, you shouldn't infer absence of B from absence of A. You don't need to be tingling to be growing.
Regarding mental effects, it has been my observation that people who report mental or emotional changes quite often realize them first when they stop taking PM. Not always, just often. That observation is of course only based on being on this forum for a long enough period of time to see a number of people discuss their experiences with it. I also personally believe that most people are not affected mentally in more than small increments anyway.

I'm a little over 4 months on PM now and the soreness is still present along with modest growth. But the emotional changes along the lines described by many others here have firmly become a way of life. For me, that's not unpleasing by any means. In fact it's amazing to me that I value the emotional change at least as much now as the modest breast growth. Quite frankly I'm quite fearful of reducing or eliminating PM from my life in any way since it has promoted in me a feeling of calm that's quite pleasant.
I'm currently at: 2x500 PM + 1x490 SP + 1x500 Calcium AM± plus 1x500 PM mid-day
