To prepare the usage of Hyaluronic acid (HA) I did a couple of test injections with 0.9% saline solution. I started with only 10 ml per breast and then went up and I tested several injection points and technics. Saline solution stays for about an hour in the breast before it starts to dissolve.
My max test was 320 ml each side and I stopped then because I developed subcotan bleeding.
My conclusion was that 50-60 ml per side is not a problem, best injection method is with a 18G needle from below pointing slightly of the nipple.
The solution can be bought over the internet, syringes and needles too. I was also using wound wash but it is important to clean the nozzle and the upper tank of the spray with 94% Alcohol and then dump the first saline from the spray to avoid any contamination.
I was filling it in a glass which was previously in cooking water for 30 Minutes and then sealed.
Part of the training was also to have a better feeling when I was hitting a blood vessel. In this case I was pulling the needle back out and I was using a different spot.
Pain for me was minimal as long as I didn't hit a blood vessel.
