I know for fact that doctors use this as a tumor marker for certain types of cancer. For a genetic male if it's well above that you have something going on that shouldn't be....

Hmmmm, I will have to ask my doctor either way. I am still curious.

I'm sure there's some other reason, but I know from first hand experience.

Testosterone, Serum 376 ng/dL Lab reference 348-1197 ng/dL (7-22-16)

588 ng/dL difference.........or, over a 60% increase

Estrogen 88 pg/mL Lab reference 40-115 pg/mL (8-19-16)
Estrogen 92 pg/mL Lab reference 40-115 pg/mL (7-22-16)

This is ok.

SHBG 55.2 nmol/L Lab reference 16.5-55.9 nmol/L (8-19-16)
SHBG 264.3 nmol/L Lab reference 16.5-55.9 nmol/L (7-22-16)

191.1 nmol/L difference........or, 72% decline

Albumin 4.5 g/dL Lab reference 3.5-5.5 g/dL. (8-19-16)
Albumin 4.1 g/dL Lab reference 3.5-5.5 g/dL (7-22-16)

.4 g/dL difference.

Free T = 16.2 ng/dL = 1.68 %
Bio T = 397 ng/dL = 41.2 %

Extrapolating these results?, it's telling me that the program you were on inhibited T by 60%. Interesting is that Estrogen stayed about the same, though estrogen stays active for up to 2 weeks after supplementing.

The major drop in SHBG tells us that high (elevated) SHBG inhibits T, as with your results. And, interestingly, your nbe plan inhibits T.

In other words, can you grow breasts with 1200 ng/dL testosterone?, my answer is yes. All it takes is trace amounts of DHT for breast growth to have a bad day. Someone can have high T but only a small fraction of available T can interact with receptors. Stimulating estrogen receptors doesn't mean it binds within the nucleus of the cell, meaning sometimes it will sit and park, while other actions like fast metabolism of hormones can influence this within seconds to minutes, while other actions takes days or even longer. Btw, cells have over 100,000 receptors...... a microcosm compared to the billions of cells the human body has. RolleyesWink

And on the other hand, your stress levels might be through the roof, elevated cortisol blocks progesterone.

Thanks for sharing the results bunny, (it's invaluable). Big Grin

Thank you Lotus for that very insightful information. You have been most helpful in evaluating my results! Big Grin

You have no idea how badly I wish I could go back in time pre NBE and tell myself to get a baseline!! I'll always be left wondering what all my levels were at prior to tweaking them with herbs. Huh Dodgy

Oh well such is life I suppose. Coulda, shoulda, but didn't.

This is all interesting stuff.  Will be getting my latest test done in a week or two.  I'll post when I get them.  Crossing my fingers everything is still a.o.k. Things still seem right.

Hi S.bunny,

Much improved results, can you post the dosages and HRT method used?. I'm interested in analyzing what HRT meds drive serum levels, per our programs.

Whether prescribing medical professionals admit or not?, 200 pg/mL estrogen is where their happy number, though some believe serum levels of 400-600 pg/mL (luteal phase in premenopausal women) should be for feminizing.

Your BAT (bioavailable testosterone) is @ 19%,

9.92 ng/dL  =  19.1 % (good)
 __________________________

Free T,

0.431 ng/dL  =  0.814 % (Ok)

@ Skye, i'll crunch the numbers (test results) for anyone who has (lab) blood test results.

If my free T is just okay, where should it be?  Thank you Lotus for the information and analysis, here is the additional information you requested.

Progynova (Estradiol) 2 mg Morning, 2 mg Evening

Aldactone (Spironolactone) 50 mg Morning, 50 mg Evening

Fincar (Finasteride) 2.5 mg morning 2.5 mg evening

Additionally I take low dose asprin, probiotics, vitamin C, and Calcium.
