I remember reading about girls going to salons for 'lunchtime breast enlargements' using HA, a few years ago. At that time it said it was immediately effective but only lasted about 6 months before being naturally removed by the body.

Yes that's correct and unfortunately true only for stabilized and cross linked HA (the comercial grade for $5 per ml ) , the pure HA I am using lasts only a couple of weeks. I am going to use 3% gel tonight and hope it lasts longer and is still inject able.

I am doing a research on cross linking also but haven't gotten far enough to do it.

It is interesting coincidence this thread appeared. Yesterday I underwent the first procedure of filling of my under-eye hollows with hyaluronic acid. I know that it is a little different location, but maybe my experience will be interesting for people reading this thread.

I am plagued with under-eye hollows and dark circles for my whole life. It is hereditary - I've inherited it from both parents. So I decided to do something about it. Anyway I have to admit that willingness to undergo small enhancement on my face is connected to my effort to look more feminine. Face is something that causes me the most dysphoric feelings.

During the consultation, the dermatologist confirmed that my problem are indeed under-eye hollows and very thin skin which allows all the veins to be seen and this is something that causes dark colour. She recommended that to correct "that tired look" of mine it would be optimal to fill not only spots under-eye, but also naso-labial crease. She said that it would make my cheeks a little bit more prominent which I only welcome. Unfortunately, the filling have to be repeated every 1 - 2 years... She also pointed out that in few years I will be probably a candidate for upper blepharoplasty  Dodgy  .

The price for the solution of the whole "problem" with under-eye circles was set at 350 €. The doctor decided to do the filling in 2 or 3 sessions approximately 1 month apart, because hyaluronic acid tend to draw water and full effect of each session is apparent after 1 month. If extensive amount of acid was injected it would pose a risk that it will be too much and swelling would occur. The filling material was Belotero Balance - hyaluronic acid with lidokain.

After application of anaesthetic gel and small anaesthetic injection, filling was performed via thin cannula. Doctor estimated the amount needed for the whole set of procedures to be 0.5 ml of hyaluronic acid under each eye. During the first session she was able to inject 0.1 ml. During the first half of the session I almost feinted - the pressure under eye was quite uncomfortable. Apparently it is quite normal, for first-time client the experience it is usually new and this reaction is common. So after coffee and glass of water I was able to continue. The second half of the session was without problem.

The effect is apparent even 1 day after the filling. Smile  I am adding a before-after pictures. Black arrow points to the point of cannula insertion. I am looking forward how it would look after the first month. The next filling will be performed in January  Smile .

Thanks Poly.
I have the same problem, always had it. Under eye fillers and upper blepharoplasty is something I've been thinking about for some while.

You first pictures look fantastic and the price is a lot lower than I expected.

Do keep us informed of progress.

Jannet & Pansy> Thanks for the feedback. So far I am quite satisfied. It also appears that the effect looks better and better with each day. But I don't want to hijack this thread, moreover the procedure was performed in another location than chest Wink . I am going to create a new thread in "Other appearance issues" section.

I am alive and moving forward. I have tried several concentrations and injection methods ( up to 50 ml in each breast and up to 3 % Hyaluronic acid ) and it gives nice results but unfortunately the half time is only about 3 days which mean its' gone within about 8-10 days.
I have studied the process to cross link the HA and ordered the indigence. Will try out my DIY cross linked HA over the Christmas Holidays and then report the results here. I am hoping for a half time of 3-6 month with this stuff.

I have been hoping you would post some updates about this. I have done my fair share of saline drip infusions and was very intrigued by this.

Have you gotten the rsults to last longer then a few days? What are some of the other things youve learned about it since your post a few months back?
