Does anyone have any thoughts on the poll results?

Something I've been thinking about is what percentage of the time I would be male versus being female. For me it would be about 70% of the time female, 30% of the time male.

not a chance. decreased risk of cancer in genitals and breasts, no menstrual cycle, the knowledge of what it's like to be an adult male and an adult female, control over my own hormones.....and knowing I completely rebuilt this body custom with all natural materials.....

The journey is a difficult one, but worth it. It means more when you've fought for it.

Hello Kelly.

Welcome to the board. Smile

It's been a while since I last checked this thread. It seemed like back then voters were about split between options 1 &3. Now of course, option 1 is a lot more popular. Anyone have thoughts on this?

When I was little, I always wished genies were real so I could wish to be a boy. But it's a tougher decision to make so late in life. Taking things slow and transitioning over time seems like it would be a lot better, but if it were between taking it slow only to get somewhat working parts or having it happen overnight and getting all the right functioning parts, I'd definitely do it. Yes, at worst you will likely be a pioneer in being in such circumstances and can document your thoughts, benefit science, and gain a lot of wisdom personally.

Well, if you have GID, it's completely obvious that the answer is yes.

It gets more complicated for bigender people like me or people who aren't so concerned about their gender. I'd probably say no because being always male is the same as being always female to me. And I've worked really hard on my male body, so why would I give it up now?

(but obviously, given the third option, that's mine)

If it didn't change who I am today except for genetic gender, then yes. Unfortunately it would also be incomplete because it's pretty obvious that if one was born genetically female the sum of your life experiences would be very different.

Yes, on one hand you could skip the bad, but at the expense of the good.

I would like to have the option of seeing (virtually living?) what my life would have been like from birth through today if I were born female as maybe it would validate how I feel today, but it could just make things even more confused.

Seems like an easy choice, but there's more to it isn't there. (sorry, over thinking things as usual.)
