I am having a very tough time trying to find out where to start with a bra. I have followed many guides, and measured a ton! I don't have big breasts, yet all sites try putting me in D or DD!

My latest attempt, following this guide:
http://www.brasizecalculator.tk/

1. Under Snug = 34"
2. Under Tight = 31"
3. Across Standing = 37"
4. Bent Over @ 90° = 37.5"
5. Laying on my Back = 37"

Estimated Bra Size
32D/DD
Nearest Sister Sizes
34C/D 30DD/E

There is no way that can be accurate! I'm a 140-145lb male, 5'10". I couldn't hold a pencil underneath without it instantly falling.. I can't just go try on a bunch of bras, as the wife is still very uncomfortable with the situation. Any ideas on what I can do?

Thank you!

Have you ever tried wearing the non-cup style stretchy lycra mixed material type trainer bras? As long as you have the correct band size, then it wouldn't matter. It's supportive enough if you only have a little development up to an A cup. I wear it all the time without hassle. They are comfortable, although the nipples show through when they stand at attention. You can always use the nipple hiders? Not sure wheat they are called though and never use them. GG girls usually have high beams too, so who am I to argue with that. Besides, I'm not that modest about them.
I read your your sizes or estimated sizes and didn't understand what your actual cup size is anyways?
huricaine, I would think a good starting point would be 32 B, that might be a little too small of a cup. But, if you go to Walmart, you can find their "Basic" line for like around $4 - $5 each.

I would try to get same make, style, but varying cup size... 32 B and a 32 C. And the winner, most comfortable size, would be a great starting point for the future.

At this point, I will not pay more than $20 for a bra, until I get to the size of breasts that look good on me. So why buy 10 bra's at $25 and up just to throw them away 6 months later??

Make sense??
I wrote a bra guide here: http://breastnexus.com/showthread.php?tid=23848

Based on your measurements, I agree with iaboy to start trying with a 32B.

Try 36A.

Hey sorry for the slight hi-jack but it is related to bra sizing. Has anyone here ever went to go get themselves fitted professionally? If so where? I'd like to get myself fitted as I am not sure if I'm wearing the right size and would like to go somewhere I wont be judged.
Everyone who wears bras goes through this and it's a constant struggle. The dirty secret is that manufacturers deliberately avoid standard sizing in an effort to keep buyers from going to their competitor's products. This is true throughout the women's clothing industry, really.

I did all the measuring and such that you did and bought my first bra online and it didn't come close to fitting. My advice is to just buy a lower priced bra that might fit and try it. Be prepared to just use it as a sizing aide, though. It probably won't fit, but you can tell whether you need something larger or smaller. Your next one might be a good fit. In other words, the only way you're going to get a good fitting bra by mail is by trial and error. A better method is to go into a store where they'll let you try on a couple, but g-male beginners tend be a bit bashful about doing that.

Women's clothing measurements are such a pain in the butt. Anyways, I too struggled with finding the right bra size. I followed someone's post on here and went with a band size that went along with my measurement at the tightest, which happens to be a 36. I measure a 41 at the center.

Results from various sites:
40 DD
36 DD
and 40B (This site measured differently, you enter bottom, middle and top)

Yet, none of these are accurate. The 40 fits lose, but the cups are way too big. Guesstimating I figure I am a AA, maybe an A. 36A, I am somewhat full, 38A, cups have more room. Good luck in finding a 38AA, ha ha. So the difference of the middle and bottom is 5, so maybe that's AA, then 6 would be A, 7 B, etc.? ;-) Again that's at a tight measurement for bottom. Non tight I measure 38.

When you start looking to purchase read users reviews, they are helpful in identifying if you may have to go up in a band size or not. As for the cups, it's your best guestimate. Going based on my own self observations, you'd probably fit a 32A, maybe a 32B. Hope that helps.
